Big Thumbs Up For Cjs Racing

  1. Bit the bullet and had my 899 fully mapped at CJS racing down near Bristol. Cant rate Chris highly enough. The man knows his stuff and the bike is night and day better across the whole range. Massive thumbs up from me. 100% recommendation.

  2. This is always something I have been interested in doing. As it's hard to imagine the improvement, did he get more torque out of it in different places, or more power and torque?

  3. To add, Chris is the man. He worked wonders on my 916 and Monster - highly recommended. :upyeah:

  4. He did my 1198 with full 70. I got 170rwbhp and 107ftlbs. I will get him onto my 1299S soon too.

Chris is a magician and its always fun to be around Rich moaning about all and everything

  5. Mid range torque and fueling is a million times better. Top end I gained about 5BHP but cant confirm as I'm awaiting the graphs from Chris. But my god so much more predictable off throttle and able to pick up the throttle so much smoother. Looking on his laptop after he went through how the original factory maps looked and how the new map profiles look and fueling is so smooth.

  6. Good to know thanks! 5HP is decent, especially if it carries that through the mid-range.

Would you mind saying roughly what that sort of map cost?

  7. My 1198 was circa £450. But, he is on it for the full 8hrs on the dyno. It isnt a quick 1hr job.

  8. Oh no, that's fair mate, I get that it takes a LOT of time, I guess it's a case of taking the bike with a full tank of fuel and a rear tyre you are happy to get well worn on a Dyno.

  9. Yes,oh and dont travel back home on M4 during rush hour afterwards. Wait a bit :)

I noticed the difference immediately I rode it back. It was a great bike before but it was monumental on way back. Everywhere in the rev range. It just pulled and pulled.

  12. Same for 899?

  13. For some:grinning: I gave up calling in the end as tried 5 times, got no answer then got a message saying call you right back but that didn’t happen either :laughing:

  14. Yep.... he's the man alright....he's mapped all three of my hypers and my z1000.

  15. Unfortunately had the same experience, WhatsApp as well. Bless him he was hard to get hold of the first time I had my 848 done.

  16. I just emailed him and waited for his reply.

  17. Is this the same guy who used to do engine rebuilds/modifications etc?
