I bought two s/h at a garage sale, both well-used and at least 30 years old - gauge has gone on one, but still both pumping well - I just used one on a slow car tyre puncture.
Got an independent gauge for pressure don’t trust the in built ones. Just for clarity was the puncture slow or was it the car?
Is it a solo trip? I am probably going to do a solo trip for the first time and just wondered how you find it? I’ve done loads of touring with a group in the past but I’m the only one still riding and I miss touring.
Yep, just me myself and I. I like my own company, so this has been a breeze. I always get talking to people, have a laugh etc, but being able to do whatever I want has been a real bonus.
Yesterday, not today, helped the eldest son fit some replacement fairings to his Yamaha FZR400 3BF For around 18 months, it has sat there looking like this.... Yesterday, after he got home from college, we decided to give the new fairings a trial fit.... A bit more tweeking required, and a few fasteners needed
wondered how you had the time to keep us up to date can't stand my own company so thank god still got few mates who are happy to spend time hooning around in france and germany
Haha, it’s actually really nice to have some time to myself tbh, as my work is quite stressful. I’ve got plenty of friends to go away with, but half heartedly invited them, so when they were dithering I just went ahead and booked it.
Rode it through a monsoon, got a new tyre. Started to scrub the tyre in, in torrential rain. Oh, and ran the fuel tank down to zero range for about 10km, was shitting it, but still only managed to squeeze in 20.5 litres into a 22 litre tank.
Did an 80 mile loop of some brilliant North Yorkshire twisties taking in Northallerton, Leyburn, Richmond and Yarm with couple of DOCGB NY members and with my Doris on the back.
Rode the bike for about 12km on a zero range. Was looking forward to sticking a photo on here of the petrol pump showing 22 litres (bike has a 22 litre tank), and only managed this. Gutted.
