Where will the hammer drop on this one: https://www.silverstoneauctions.com...l-foggarty-replica-996cc?el=20735&pn=1&pp=100 Estimated in the high 70k's but with the story behind it (owned originally by Ducati and displayed in the Ducati museum in Bologna) it could very well be a record setter.
When it says ‘based on the 916 sps’ it was a 916 sps wasn’t it? I guess they just mean it’s a foggy 916 spa
I believe it is/was a 916 SPS (as was the first series 916 Senna, which is also up for grabs on the same auction in like NOS form).
And depending on the year it depended on whether it had carbon Termis I believe as they couldn’t afford to pay the supplier bill
May have been Sil Moto, the carbon sleeves in the pictures of the first edition, don’t look right for Termignoni. I could be wrong …… it wouldn’t be the first time …… and it probably won’t be the last Andy
Thats not a motorcycle anymore. Its an ornament. It will live in a conditioned environment for some wealthy pretender who can barely get their knee down tieing up their shoes. I'd rag the bastard and lose 65k in the process.
Me too. You’d probably be wanting to change the belts first though The fact they’ve not even bothered to service the bike / mention the servicing is acknowledging it is, and only ever will be, an ornament.
I’d give it to @nelly for a complete strip-down service/reconditioning. I’m sure he wouldn’t charge considering the honour it would bestow upon him
" Owned originally by Ducati and displayed in the Ducati museum in Bologna, hence the sponsor decals on the lower fairing are only on one side"
Have you seen the prices of Van Gogh's in recent times, so a very cheap alternative form of art for those filthy rich struggling with their finances.
i started reading his autobiography, gave up what an absolute wanker, talks about groping birds and shaggin like a 14 years old, a pure tat read, its a signed copy too, the fact that his daughter was in love island says it all
