Anyone else heading to Donington for the weekend ? The event looks to be well supported, going by the sold out camping. We are planning to set up our pop-up bubble on the in-field, overlooking the Craner Curves and the Old Hairpin. The beer is already chilling Andy
Toprak: "Everybody believes this is a bike that can’t win," Razgatlioglu told WorldSBK.com. "I’m just thinking about showing everyone that the BMW is a winning bike. "Ducati have the best bike in the paddock. If I go there and I win the championship, it’s not special for me and this is why I’m going to BMW. "Yamaha weren’t champions for 12 years and we became champions again. I will go to BMW which hasn’t been world champions. My big dream is for me and BMW to be world champions. This is a big goal." "interesting"
It didn't start well for us, just before we arrived on Thursday, there was a fatal motorcycle incident only yards from the Donington main entrance It's been fairly quiet spectator numbers wise today, had intermittent blobs of rain during the day but nothing major. Definitely got my step count up for the day Andy
Don’t think I’m going to make it. I was actually at Donington services around 14:30 this afternoon and did briefly think about going but decided against it (had daughter with me after Uni visit). Cardiff tomorrow for more of the same so I think Sunday is a beer in front of the telly job.
Eurosport’s coverage and scheduling is woeful! Anyone recommend a better option for watching the WSBK & BSB?
During the super sport coverage a caption popped up saying WSBK superpole, yacht racing and TDF was ‘up next’. A bit difficult as they only have 2 channels. The dizzy presenter didn’t know what to say so she just mumbled some nonsense, as per usual.
Managed to find an Italian live stream using a VPN. Love the excitement of Italian presenting, no idea what they are saying but I’m sure they could even make yacht racing sound exciting.
You should of stayed at home and watched The Ocean Race Europe…..it’s so exciting WTF lol…….. wished I gone down to watch now with the useless coverage and annoying commentators, I just assumed Eurosport would of covered the whole meeting!
The real question's how many wins is the number one bike going achieve this season with only halfway through 2023 season.
AB made an uncharacteristic error in Superpole and in the early laps of the first race he didn't settled. Now Yamaha and Kawasaki have better data on the new surface, I'm hoping for a more competitive race 3. I predict the short race is going to be mahem. Toprac was spitting feathers after coming second. We are already ensconced at the Old Hairpin and looking forward to a good day ...... in spite of the BMW 800R's Andy
