Playing golf later so just dragged the bag out the shed and emptied it of shite. It’s been a while lol
Talking of Lancasters... back in the 70s I met some German lads in a bar. I asked where they were from and they said 'Munich'. I said 'My Dad knows Munich very well.' 'From the air!'
That looks like the work of that old Japanese lady artist - Yayoi Kusami. There was a documentary on her some time ago and she is so magnificently left field from every of other 'artist' and is breath of fresh air. https://www.google.com/search?q=Yay...EAHWoQA2QQ0pQJegQIChAB&biw=1499&bih=854&dpr=1
Crossed the Yorkshire moors up and down and side to side. Everything from flat out sweepers to single tracks with grass in the middle. Obviously trying to save wear on the front tyre, as no-one can see how old you are with the visor down
Took my old Bimmer for an MOT this morning….. As usual it passed no bother I’ve had this from new, June 2000 and it’s got 43,000 miles on it now so it’s nearly run-in ! So seeing as it was a cracking day I thought I’d have a ride over to the MTB cycle hub in Fryupdale, not ridden the BM for almost 3 years, so it took a while to get used to it again, good to be out on it though Park up in pole position.. Cracking views from this place… Spot of lunch, then back home, about a 70 miles round trip,…I call this my “ Adventure “ bike, simply because just changing gear on it is a bit of an Adventure!! I had no skin on my left big toe and my left hand was aching with clutching it, got soft and spoiled with quickshifters on the Kwakker and Panigale , it really does bring home how far and how slick modern bikes have become, …still a hoot riding it though
Rode over to Aberystwyth via Rhayader and the Elan valley, just a stunning place to ride. Did almost 250 miles.
My marks and spencer sandwich would not have looked so good against the recent offerings on this post
Indeed it is her work She openly talks about her ongoing mental health issues she has struggled with from childhood. Her hallucinations inspire her work.
I did consider that this morning, but I didn’t think pea and ham soup and a toasted cheese scone would be very photogenic,..but hey, what do I know
It’s part of the MIF, showing for a limited period here in Manchester Not sure about a permanent exhibition although I did stumble on some of her work earlier this year in Bilbao.
I just rode 20 miles to Scarborough along north bay into South Bay parked in the m/ cycle bay and had a Latte Now consuming Stella which in the UK is not a lot different to Fosters
Yeah & I believe she is sort of settled now - in a care home/institution where she can potter out to her studio and do her work safe in the knowledge she has the security of a base that others provide for her. It tickled me she proved too much for the 1960s New York Greenwich Village mob - perhaps because she wasn't doing it for fashion but truly for the art. I think she & her art is superb.
Learnt the chords to Rush’s The Spirit of Radio There’s a good reason they’re isn’t a lot of Rush tribute bands around.
