Had a look at my new to me gsxr600, Cat N salvage bike, for the first time

Minor damage to the side fairings, and headlamp cowl

For the cost of those two panels, I can get a full aftermarket fairing kit, in the same colours

 

I pulled the cover back on the wrong bike today, oh well i said and went out on the red one first, then a shorter journey on the yellow one.
Way too damn hot for me today.!!.......the glass of white wine & cold beer didn't tick the box when i got home, but the ice cream did wonders.

 

If it’s the Chinese abs plastic fairings your looking at they are pretty good, I bought one for a bike and fit and finish were spot on.

I have seen that company advertise before, I got mine from an eBay seller but they are probably all made in the same place.

 

Have just listed my old Rocker Boys Triton on ebay.Hoping for a sale as I have priced it to go.Having said that, the market for these old bikes is pretty limited these days and even if priced sensibly there will always be the time wasters to watch out for.

Pulled the damaged bits off the gsxr, to see exactly what it needs

A few fairing panels, a headlight, a mirror (not through accident damage), and half a day with the steam cleaner

Then, looking at the filthy state of the bike, new brake pads all round, and a full service

Oh, and some decent crash bobbins that won't end up like the one pictured at the first sight of a bit of tarmac

 

@doggy , has not been seen for 13 odd hours as still black and blue from visiting a dealer yesterday discussing money terms..

 

Not at all, way way more than I was expecting. Went into the dealership today and signed on the dotted line.

Good choice. I’m quite tempted to revisit the Striple myself.

 

Took the baffles out of the track bike and put them in the road bike.
Put the barn door number plate on and pressed the rear brake lever.
Ready for MOT!

A new mot on the Superlight this morning without any real problem for the new owner when they buy it.
