Nope, that couldn't be further from the truth! I've struggled with my weight all my life, lost 10 stone in 2008, and have worked my bollocks off ever since to keep it off. I have to do a shit load of exercise, and eat like a sparrow in the week to be able to indulge at the weekends. But it works, so as long as I'm able to exercise properly, I'll carry on!
I think it was around the 100 mark, he just mixed up the numbers in reverse order, it would've been fine but it's up 4 sale at the minute, not taxed and the last thing i wanted was a problem with any buyer.
Took this afternoon off to go for a ride with a mate who is dealing with prostate cancer. We rode down to rugged roads, currently in Lymington, but soon to be moving to larger premises at Sway. We both bought some Klim gloves and he bought a Touratech SatNav locking mount. Back via Lyndhurst, cake and coffee at Woods Cyclery, nice stuff in the shop but no purchases made. Back home in time for dinner.
Rode from Butgenbach in Belgium to Europoort in Rotterdam to get the ferry home. It's been a very good trip, with great friends
Interesting, I lost 6.5 stone, from 2009 over a couple of years and your week diet sounds like mine. That said, I’ve ‘popped’ about 1.5 stone back on. I don’t think I’m quite at your level on exercise, but I do my best. 3 to 4 times a week at the gym, but it’s difficult, most work days are between 10 & 12 hours. BTW, I hope you get my sarcasm by now!
That’s good going. I envy people that can eat anything they want and not put weight on. Some weeks I can exercise hard after what I thought wasn’t a particularly indulgent weekend, then when I weigh myself on the Friday have still put weight on. If I wasn’t able to exercise the way I do, I’d dial it down at the weekends, for sure!
I’m on it at the moment. My job entails a lot of entertaining* and it’s proving to be a problem for regular exercise. As well as a gym membership, I’ve just thrown a load of cash at a decent exercise bike, so the objective is to do something everyday regardless. We’ll see how I get on. I’m 6’ 4” and target is 14st 7lb. * drinking!
Yes it is, but depends on how much fat you lose compared to how much muscle mass you gain which tricks some into believing they aren’t losing weight.
A genuine raconteur, do you do card tricks and illusions? I’d possibly die if my job involved professional standard drinking.
Playing with a new toy, a very yellow, Champion, dual fuel, “Mighty Atom” suitcase, inverter generator. Half the size of my KIPOR (for sale here, https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/used-kipor-kge-3000tc-230v-12dc-digital-generator.96458/ ) but still a useful output of 2.3 kVA. First time I’ve tried Propane as a fuel and interested to see how it compares, cost wise, with petrol. I know it has less energy but a major benefit for me is not having to carry a can of petrol in the car and in the longer term, I can swap the Pennine’s butane regulator over to a propane regulator and have one bottle of gas for everything. Yep, it is. Weight is funny; I can look and feel quite lean some weeks, but jump on the scales and I’m the same or heavier. I try and tend to focus more on how I feel/ look/ how my clothes fit, rather than what I weigh.
