I have received an email from Silverstone informing me, advance tickets will only be available through their new App which will be needed to access the circuit So, fair warning, you have limited time to download the App, create a new account (making sure you use your web based account email and sign in) and a limited time to check your tickets from receiving notification they are available. Do I anticipate a total clusterf**k ? Damn right I do. Andy
Just got notification my camping ticket is available but my entry tickets might take a bit longer to appear. Oh and top tip, make sure you keep the email, you might need to show it on entry. FFS, what's the point of the App then ? Andy
Just checked the App and yes, the ticket is there but it's not yet valid, that'll be done nearer the time. What is the point ? Andy
I have now received four individual e-mail notifications, one for camping and one each for the 3 days and none of them are activated. What’s the point ? Andy
Andy the point is that they get your details - name address phone number email- which you need to enter when you download the app Marketing, marketing.. they are the predators, we are their food
Just found out I need to download the app to go to the Silverstone festival, not impressed, have no option but to do so, have to accept the TS and Cs for their app as I've already paid. No problems with E tickets, just email them to me, I don't want another app when it served no purpose other than to serve the app provider with my data.
Can you pay on the gate still? Im going to ride up if its not pissing down and "rove" but im not going to decide/do the last rain check until the last minute.
The Silverstone FAQs answer to 'are tickets available on the day' intimates tickets are only available through the web site which may be available to download during the weekend. I cannot find an information that catagorically state tickets will not be available on the gate but I suspect this might be the case. You will need the new App to download the ticket. Warnings against buying from 3rd party ticket websites (and ticket touts near the track) are also very prominent. Andy
Do these even exist anymore? There was always a group of cockneys outside brands wsb (and latterly bsb) trying to sell over inflated tickets you could walk 300m past them and buy on the gate at face value. Always struck me as odd but id probably take it right now.
If folk can’t make sure their phones have adequate charge before leaving the house, they’re not ready for the outside world, without a carer.
