Another Rhodesian Ridgeback, we already have 2 but decided you can never have too many, just a case of waiting for Ridgeback Rescue to contact us with one in need of rehoming now.
I'm not sure who writes my scripts, but that's absolute perfection with someone upstairs dropping that in my photoshoot bang on time.
Did another 25 miles on the Nsr and then came home and gave it a clean and polish as a thank you for not breaking down. I know the Aoki colour scheme is not to everyone’s taste (I’m still not sure I like it) but the quality of the work is amazing, it’s all paint and not a single sticker used.
Took a very poorly, elderly puss cat to the vet £350 later, test results are “inconclusive”. Puss cat is now relaxing under the influence of opiates and we are hoping the anti inflammatories he got will help. Potentially a virus which he’ll have to fight himself. Fingers crossed. Andy
At ap workshops for an engine teardown... New camchain tensioners. Apparently the timing is way out...first time it's been apart this far...I'm into 12th year of ownership. Gearbox check: I quote Amber....it's one of the best condition gearboxes I've seen on a bike this old so mechanical sympathy goes along way!
Pictures please @Zeus I just love Ridgebacks, had three myself, that’s “Buster” my last one in my Avatar, he was old there and his black muzzle had gone grey, what a lovable, big ( 63kgs) rascal he was, I would have him back in a heartbeat if it was possible, great dogs! We got him from the RR rescue when he was 5 years old and he left us at 11 ..still miss him
We’ve had 5 from Ridgeback Rescue over the years (also had another one from a pup which I bought), all brilliant dogs in their own ways. The two we have now are both 10, had them since 1 and 2 years old but we have taken in dogs as old as 9 and 10 that nobody wanted. As soon as the new arrival turns up I’ll post some pics. Plenty of dogs looking for a new home at the moment if you fancy another one.
Set up our new Ooni pizza oven the other day, and made a sourdough starter. I bought a load of ingredients online from an Italian deli in town, all looks great, but the 4 balls of mozzarella go out of date at the end of the month, so it looks like my first attempt will be about 12 pizzas. Hopefully they’ll freeze well!
It’s criminal how some people treat their dogs, fancy turfing out a 9/10 year old dog who’s virtually at the end of his life, they’ll be so confused and depressed thinking “ what have I done?” Buster certainly hit the jackpot when he came to live with us, had his own divan bed with quilt and pillow loved it! and he was fed and looked after like a Lord. I would love another one but my circumstances aren’t right atm, our only child ( daughter) lives in Australia and now that I’m retired we go out to see her and the two grandchildren for 3 months every year , I couldn’t leave a dog with someone else for 3 months, it just wouldn’t be fair on them, I wouldn’t do it. Looking forward to your pictures of your Ridgy’s
