Personal perspective and probably unpopular reply, but not on the V4PP. Did have them on couple previous bikes and not really seen much benefit
Just back from a two-up ride including some heavy bank hols traffic filtering (with panniers on) on my V4s. Didn’t feel like there was an issue with fine throttle control or any slop/take-up delay that I noticed. So not something I’d feel the need for on mine.
Can’t say I’ve ever felt a need for it on mine but I have heard of others that have really sloppy throttles.
On a recent test ride with a V4S, IMO, definitely no need whatsoever for any type of throttle enhancement as it appeared to perform very smoothly without it. No on the 1260, that's quite a different matter completely. As this thread is about the V4S, I'll leave it there!
Always had them on the Panigales as it was very pronounced. But the switch gear on the multi is very different and, for me, it doesn't need them.
I’ve got spacers on my PP, had them on the 1260 too. But I’ve not ridden either without them, so I’m not much use. Anyway, hope you all have a nice evening.
I’ve fitted them to my V4, as there was a bit of slop, as there is with most Ducatis. I’ve not ridden this bike without them, but the throttle is pin sharp now.
I found quite a bit of freeplay in the throttle on my v4 before it did anything, throttle felt snatchy, once the spacer was fitted it removed all the freeplay, i think i paid £30'ish' but have since noticed someone selling them for a tenner on ebag.
Don’t bother with the cheap ones, they look the same, but are poorly made in comparison. For the peace of mind, I’d always go for the real thing.
I was fine until we started talking about this! Anyone got a link for a decent set, not about to fall apart, rough finished or 3D printed garbage? Am I right in thinking Ducati actually make a set?
Nope. These are originals https://ducatispacers.com/?gclid=Cj...H8R6lw9-FxWXI98IdugjDZyMpSiZhSzEaAousEALw_wcB
I've had them on all three Ducati's as I couldn't stand the free-play throttle slop. Ducati Spacers are a nice product.
Had them on my 1260PP and 1200PP and they really made a difference but don’t feel the need on the V4PP. Fine without from my perspective
Fitted it today. To my mind it’s an improvement as there was a bit of slack in the throttle before. Now it’s spot on.
Never liked the sloppy throttle on my V4S so started looking around at possible solution. Hmmm they are quite expensive for what you get, so started to look harder. Racetorx came up with a completely different solution at a bargain price in comparison, just over £11 delivered. Arrived this morning along with a bag of sweats for the wife!! and 15 mins later fitted and throttle now spot on. He even supplies two so you have a space just in case. How good is that?
Looks good, and decent value Looks like there is two different versions listed on there site for the V4, how do u know which is the correct one ..?
