A more reasonably priced meal would have allowed you to ride your motorcycle over, but I guess walking has it’s benefits other than saving money.
Won’t be going anywhere on the bike for about a week DS as the weather forecast up here is utter pants for the foreseeable I’m strangely a bit glum today following a phone call from a mate yesterday, he was on his way up to Scotland last Friday to meet his son for a weekend on the bikes and somehow managed to lob it on the road up to Longtown, recons it was diesel or gravel on the road he didn’t spot. Ended up in Carlisle hospital with a hole in his knee, he’s okay and back home now though. Anyhow, the upshot of all this is that he’s decided to hang up his crash helmet for good, he says at 71 he doesn’t bounce as well as he used to, gotta respect his decision but sad to see him bow out of our group .
Took the dogs out at lunch and it was sunny for the first time in yonks so I thought fuck it and took the 899 out for a hoon (and then some). Reminded myself why I took so long looking for one. Best. Bike. Ever. X
Same here mate. Had so much fun for a 90 minute blat though(soz) even sticking it in 3rd on the motorway at 70 and listening to the glorious thunder that pops out of the termis lol. (I got screwed by traffic going through the epping forest tunnel though, sadly) Back roads though it just comes alive, it really is a sensational fkn bike. Does absolutely everything you need it to. Chapeau ducati
Oh and the best part is when I wheel it back into my living room it makes it smell of warming down bikes, not my dogs arses.
top picture intriguing.. "pit girl" smiling rather a lot and so i'm wondering what the deep-in-concentration grey-haired man behind her is doing with his left hand.
spent most of the day, a lot longer than it should've been, sorting out a wiring loom problem on an Austin Healey, dashboard fire averted..
