It’s on the My Ducati app with few details, just a photo and limited to 500 units, based on the SP by the looks of it..
Forged aluminium alloy wheels instead of lightweight cast, a paint job, an embroidered seat cover, an Öhlins steering damper and a plaque. The wheels and steering damper can account for most of that £2100. Andy
They’ve all been doing it for years though. How many *ahem iterations/8 ball paint jobs of the 675 did triumph bring out lol? I can count at least 7 off the top of my head and I’m three beers down.
Given that forged wheels retail for £2K & a steering damper for £350 I can see where you're coming from. However full retail? Surely Ducati have already costed in regular wheels and a handsome profit off the regular bikes? Different paint and a plaque are worthless. Embroidered seats only serve to let rain water get inside imo. But if there are people who want this -all power to them...
And carbon mudguards. Don’t forget the carbon mudguards! I’m tempted, but am not really a fan of gold wheels. Could get them painted I suppose.
The SP also comes with damper, so you get paint job on the Anniversario, and gold forged wheels, the SP also has fancy paint.. I had the 25 Anniversario with Termis, but it also had as standard Rizoma mirrors, levers, tail tidy, fuel filler, more carbon and damper over the S. I kept it 3.5 years and sold it last year for pretty much what I paid….
Stuck a deposit down, don’t even know if I like it tbh, but will ride a normal one soon and see how we go.
A trick they borrowed from MV? I think there’s more “Ltd Edition” SC versions of their range out there than there are standard ones
With only 500 produced for worldwide distribution, I wish you good luck with that. Wouldn’t surprise me if the allocation was sold out in hours. Andy
