Thought I'd pick this up again on a new thread. Looking to meet in the Harrogate area on Sunday and then go for a ride around the area. Anyone know of a good place to meet (SuperVee's place if we are invited?) and a good route? So far I think its just El Toro and me confrimed?

What exactly do you want to do? Mindst, from 1030 to 1700 doesn't give much scope. It's just possible to manage Spurn Point if get a wriggle on.
To be fair 6.5 hours is far more than I would like to spend in the saddle in one day. I would choose to meet up for a chat and a brew, ride for an hour or 2 and then get a bite of lunch, then ride for a while longer before splitting to go home. If this is totally at odds with what other people want to do then I will be flexible?
You'll be no good on my normal rides then, Scottish Borders and back is a favourite.................... I don't really do meet and chat and brew. It's meet, quick intro hello, sketch the route, set the scene, fuel, then off. We can talk over lunch. 100 miles to the tank, that OK? I'll be kind though for a virgin............. Yeah, Spurn Point is a bit of a mission TBF. I can do it in 90 minutes give or take. I'll sort another venue.
Sounds fine to me, but I dont get too many leave passes with 2 young kids, so I don't want to kick the proverbial on my first sanctioned sunday jaunt!! I can almost guarantee that I will be considerably slower than you so 90 mins might need adjusting!
I'm up for that, but its prolly best I meet you somewhere on the way seeing as I'd be going right out of my way by going up to Harrogate only to go back over to head to Spurn point. Give me a meeting point and time. I'm guessing somewhere near Pontefract? :smile:
Some guys from Ducati Up North are meeting in Keswick - is it worth heading that way to meet up or too complicated? Are we set on a meeting time and place yet?
Dont think i could make it, i am at work til 2am, so by time i get up you guys will prob have gone off, but if you let me have an idea of your route, i may be able to catch up with you along it ? And EL T, in future can you make it a minimum of 1000 miles and somewhere that you need your passport for, otherwise its just not worth putting my boots on for
