Silverstone Moto Gp *no Spoilers*

  1. Fucking hell how grim does it look lol thank Christ I’m sat indoors watching it. Hope conditions improve for those that made the effort, felt genuinely sorry for you all this morning.
Not much shelter at silverstone either!

  2. Shades of the year that they (finally) cancelled due to the standing water. Temperature in the stand felt less the 10⁰ due to the wind. I had a jumper and a hoody on under my waterproof and had a blanket over our legs and still froze. The ground outside the stand went the consistency and colour of runny poo :poop: Andy

  3. Made up for AM, fully deserved, although I suspect it won’t take long for the “imagine what his brother could do on a ducati” bores to surface.

Mav beating aleix, zarco beating Jorge and the beast beating pecco too.
    Strange things afoot at silverstone!

  4. Forecast looks a bit better tmrw for you all if its any consolation.

  5. A lot of speculative talk about who will ride where next season. Unfortunately, there was so much background noise, I missed most of it. I thought I heard someone say Honda wouldn't stand in MM's way if he wanted to leave though. Not sure why MM rode the worst I think I've ever seen. Only FQ and Lecuona behind him. Andy

  6. He’s looked off the pace all weekend only a tow from his team mate in quali got him higher than where he really deserved to be.
Rode into Bastianini at the start too lol.

  7. I get the impression there’s a bit of a bromance/mutual respect building between mav and m lav (there’s a song in there somewhere too).
Some great interviews and the polar opposite of wsb coverage.

  8. Looking at the standings I’m starting to contemplate booking Valencia gp up.

  9. that was epic wasnt it
i never thought you could surf with a motorbike but that was proven wrong with some of the foul weather antics at abbey earlier
the good news about the rain was that it forced me into the museum for 60 mins before the sprint. the museum is excellent.
its remarkably how resilient the riders are despite the tumbles many of them have taken over the past 2 days
    tomorrow will be fun

  10. For the last few years I've brought reserved tickets for woodcote, either AorB. But this year I brought the general roving ticket as I felt better value for money and a good excuse to explore the whole track.

I started the day over in Beckett's and during the day worked my way round and ended up and good old Woodcote. But I must say even though the weather was at it's worse I preferred Beckett's. They've totally ruined Woodcote by removing the 2 big screens and moving the pits. I'd be so pissed off if I had brought the reserved tickets for woodcote.

Looking forward to tomorrow being better weather and I'll be in Beckett's.

  11. Yep, watched morning sessions in woodcote getting blasted in the face by rain. Ran over to Becketts and was way more comfortable. Was not a good look for silverstone to have nearly every grandstand empty and all the fans getting soaked standing out in front.

Enjoyed the sprint, expected more carnage considering the conditions.

  12. yes the sprint was fun first time i ever saw it
abbey was super good with the screen and the pits and getting the tickets cheap off twickets last minute helped
but the place is nowhere near capacity and how many seats in the stands remained empty???

  13. I’ve never been to the GP at Silverstone, and so my perspective is purely from how it appears from the broadcast , but it always seems to be a very sterile atmosphere. Most other venues, if not all, are packed to capacity with a sea of colour , flares , obsessed fans and an insane party atmosphere. The weather sure won’t help if it’s like it was today mind you.
I hope the folks there are enjoying it and didn’t get too wet through today.

  14. WTF happened to the "No Spoiler" in the thread title you F.Wits!!!

Yep weather was proper pants in the morning yesterday,we started off at Club, had a swim around the village area, where they were giving away monster energy drinks…bonus….then heard an announcement they were letting the stand at Luffield open to general admittance ticket holders to soften the blow of the weather.that was us sorted! Watched the sprint from there then did the museum which was fantastic, also free which is worth noting.didn’t feel as bad paying 25:00 for my car parking space after that!!!great day to be fair.

  16. I think he meant to put spoilers as with all the other threads on here, probably my fault as I asked him to edit it.

It could possibly be argued that people who click on a thread in the racing section entitled silverstone moto gp expecting to see no spoilers are the fuck wits. But I will leave the name calling to you x

  17. Being on the other side of the world I generally don't go on threads about MGP until I've had a chance to watch the recorded action, but as this thread had "No Spoilers" in the title I thought I would be safe, but alas no, as to being in the racing section, for me it isn't, I just click on New Posts and get a list of all the new posts in the threads.

  18. In the museum now for second time

The fan parade was a damp squib experience for the riders no doubt. I felt sorry for them. Over at Nuffield they got a weak reception. The circuit is so empty but alas no rain and conditions should be kinder than yesterday
