So what have you done today..?

  1. Finally replaced the broken computer desk I have been struggling with for the past five years - £15 from the local Hospice Shop :upyeah:
Cleared out five years of dust bunnies and tangled cabling behind said desk.
Finally (FINALLY!) got the first half-dozen or so Black Sabbath albums into my iTunes library - shame they aren't all as good as Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.
Completed the probate questionnaire for the Solicitors in respect of my mum's estate.
Received a cheeseburger from McD's, when I ordered and paid for a double cheeseburger (going round there later to blow the place up).
Thought about a bike ride but just too knackered. It's been an unbelievably shit two months or so.

  2. When we going to see you on a rideout Oz?

  3. Been out on a 13 plate fire blade geez thats uncomfortable....had the suspension serviced on the 2009 R1 night and day between these two.......oh and there was also a 1200cc honda thing with spoke wheels with a riding position that made me feel like a meerKat

  4. Which ones?

  5. Bought brake pads and a new battery for the 999. Finally managed to fit the pads - which involved grovelling around in the dirt, of course. It is made frustrating by my old man owning all sorts of useful tools, but now aged 88 and senile, he has no clue where any of them are. You ask him where the WD40 is and he has no idea what you are talking about. It makes bike maintenance at the folks' a bit of a challenge.

No way can I fit the battery. The three screws that need to be undone all seem to have seized solid, so off to a bike workshop tomorrow. This somehow seems typical of my experience of bike maintenance.

  6. Any ones you like Oz out most weekends these days, then there's normally the Berks run 1st Sun and Hants 2nd Sun

  7. So you're no Robert Pirsig then.

  8. It was a gumption trap.

I avoided falling into it by adopting an alternative strategy for the morrow.

  9. Started painting the conservatory, then someone came and bought my Aprilia RSV factory for the full asking price ( yippeeeee but it was still a bargain.) Then like an idiot went and looked at an MV Agusta F4 even though i promised myself i would not go and look, as now the heart strings are pulling ( stop me stop me.).

  10. See the comparative video review elsewhere on here, if you are considering the 1000. It will quickly change your mind.

  11. Why is it not good, it was the F4 312 which is now maybe the only other bike i would add to my little collection. Any reviews good or bad is all helpful.

  12. Just tried to find that video review on here but no luck

  13. I love the latest MV corsa corta
I dont care its not the lightest or fastest round a track. its just lush

  14. Yes I agree that is one beautiful bike!

  15. Great pictures, and yes that really is a great looking bike, sadly it's not that bike . The one i went to see was the F4 312 1078 RR which is also still a truly great looking weapon. MV just keeping doing enough each time to make it look fresh and tart it up. Heart ruling the head moments like these don't help.

  16. Had an endoscopy which found an ulcer so that has to come out in a few weeks. Does tomorrow look any better? no, it's a colonoscopy, at least this way around no worry about them using the same camera probe for both.

  17. Hope all goes well. If it's any consolation I've had one of those and hardly felt a thing.

That's not to say nothing happened of course. Just that I didn't feel it. The Consultant was very friendly but didn't seem to be enjoying his work TOO much...

    Good luck!

  18. Got up late , after two days off work visiting family on the South Coast. Drove to MK, uneventful. I would of biked in but supposed to be going to Manchester for an hours meeting tomorrow. That got cancelled so I'll get home and get the bike out this evening if it isnt raining. Got to put the Fazer on the ramp and get the exhaust sorted out. I hate undoing exhausts(read - breaking the flippin nuts off cos they are soo rusty) Which means its a stud extractor job at best, or helicoils at worst.
Saying that, i got the ST's exhaust off last week with no issues.:upyeah:

  19. Today I have (hopefully) negotiated/swung a small order for Pennsylvania and I've issued some PR for a larger project we have in Colorado. So far not a bad day.
