Hi all, After selling my Multi 1200GT last year I was enticed away from the brand towards that German marque. I've just spotted a 1260s which I quite fancy. It has a full Termignoni Titanium system on it. Now I don't really care about the exhaust. I was thinking of taking it off and selling it. Would that be a pallaver and would there be much interest in it? Opinions please, Tomo
A used system not going to be worth much and no point buying without the map, as MR75 says, best mod on the 1260, transforms the bike…
I have the full system which came with my 1260s. I can’t comment on how the bike would have been with the standard exhaust but I can say that it was one of reasons I bought this particular bike. Looks better and the sound is great without being too loud.
Thanks lads, I've a deposit paid. So, I'm now on my third Multistrada! I may see what I do with thr Termignoni...
I had a DVT with full termi, when i went to a 1260 there was no way i could have done without the full termi again, id feel i was missing out. The sound makes me very happy, cany comment on performance, but the bike rides great.
Physically it will fit, the hardware is pretty much the same but the upmap is different and you can't buy that separately from Ducati.
1200 & 1260 have different shaped manifolds. I was delighted when I found this out, previously thinking I could swap the system from the old bike to the new one. Twats.
Erm, that's interesting, long story but I recently removed a 1260 full system from a 1200 DVT, the fit was identical on both bikes
Thanks for clearing that up for me. If anyone has or knows of a full system for sale (along with upmap), that would fit my 2015 Multi 1200s touring, please let me know by pm.
Agreed with others, @Tomo76. The full system transforms the bike. Do not remove it and if you find it too loud, put the baffle in (can be picked up online cheapish). My first multi was a 1200S with standard exhaust and it always felt... Out of breathe? Still plenty of poke, but the mid range was cack, right where you spend most of the time coming out of a twisty on the coast. I then had a 1260S that I put on from purchase, and I'm now on my second 1260S with the system... It's vital, it brings the bike to life. Granted, I'm comparing apples to oranges between the 1260 and 1200.
I collected the bike today. Well impressed! The 1260s is a great bike and the Termi sounds fantastic! It's definitely staying on
Apologies for the late question on this thread, but I’d like to ask if you have any problems getting the bike through the MOT noise test with the full Termi? I also have the 1260s and would like to get the exhaust upgraded, but am a little concerned about it failing it’s MOT if too loud. Appreciate any advice guys, thank you.
