  2. I had seen some stats a while back that suggest it was ’old’ and inexperienced that were upping the numbers some…

  3. Thanks, Terry. The 959 hasn’t sold yet and not too bothered if it doesn’t, tbh. :)

  4. Lead acid chemistry batteries discharge regardless. There doesn't have to be any current drain, it's what lead acid batteries do. Andy

  5. Gave the SF a wash, didn’t really need it, but it beats sitting around watching the telly.

  7. Replaced the front brake pads on the V-Raptor for some EBC semi sintered V-Pads.

It'll be interesting to compare them with the double H fully sintered that were in there before. These had great initial bite wet or dry and continue to grip well but when fully used could eat the discs for breakfast. They were also annoyingly prone to clacking around in the calipers.

  8. I still have the inlet manifold and injectors etc from my 1000 Raptor Andy if these appeal to you and you happen to be visiting South London. would only be a few beer tokens, and one for the Forum. ;)

  9. That's a very kind offer Chris.... which if you give me a couple of months I might well take you up on.

I'm getting close to knocking work on the head and am planning to completely refurb the 'ol (70k miles) Raptor so I'm presently collecting various bits and bobs for the task. A set of inlet gubbins would be great as they could be cleaned & tidied whilst the old set are still being used.

  14. cured an irritating, hard to find, minute oil leak on the Uglystrada which has made my day even before 10 am (retired person).

Just for info, it was the top oil cooler hose union where it's meets the crankcase, sealed with a copper washer, all it took was a 2 degree swivel to cure but will keep an eye and remove and re-seat if necessary.
