When on a bike they are friendlier than the English. To be fair, some people are twats regardless of where they come from. Being a dick isn’t defined by nationality.
Get yourself up to Yorkshire mate, roads are good, the beer is stronger and all the women are stunners.
France is great, as a means to get to Spain and Portugal but, the ferry is even better as it misses out France altogether.
I must have been to a different Yorkshire all those times, as the roads were potholed everywhere, the beer was warm, and the majority of the women certainly weren't stunning!
And it pisses down with rain a lot. France you do have to search out the best roads. Keep off the main roads at all costs and find the minor ones. Which are still generally perfectly tarmac’d and twisty with next to no traffic.
I could have a holiday in France for the price of the ferry to Spain. . And I don’t have to spend 24 hours plus on a boat.
Cough, cough. As the saying goes, Dyno talks, BS walks. However, I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt if this guy was your tuner.
Hopefully the wings will be removable, like on the SF V4S (personally I don't like them on that bike either!)...
I’m just going by the figures Ducati publish. In reality I couldn’t give a toss what the rear wheel figures are, and am not sad enough to feel the need to put it on a dyno.
Personally, I'm one that believes that even 100 RWHP is enough for the street. However, the heart of this thread is about HP. Consequently I had to comment.
Torque is what the standard XR is missing. I was very disappointed in the gutless mk2 I took out. Wild top end, nothing where it mattered. Might be a good bike. The wings though? Just silly for fast tourer. As to an R version PP…..ALL the current crop of ADV and hyper sport ADV need a diet. Not just for weight, for size. The Multistrada is already the length of a small tanker these days.
I hope not, I find it pretty cramped already and looking to see how they have made the pillion seat of the Rally slightly more spacious.
Best road bike I’ve ever ridden? Gen 4 BMW S1000rr. 200bhp plus but you decide with your right hand exactly how much you want.
Two of my other bikes are around 100 RWHP I’d imagine, so I get where you’re coming from. But there’s something about having a big daft armchair of a bike with a considerable amount more!
Now you tell me !! LOL. I'm swapping my Gen 4 BMW S1000RR for a V4 Pikes Peak tomorrow. Paid my deposit and everything
