Hey I'm thinking about buying something like this for putting my Ducati in over the winter : https://www.carcoon.com/product-range/vehicle/indoor/indoor-bikebubble/ My bike is currently connected to a Ducati battery tender 24/7 (it has a power hungry tracker), would I be able to still have it on this if I use 1 of these bike bubbles? I've looked on their website and couldn't find an answer, have emailed them but in the meantime maybe 1 of you has experience of this?
The power supply has two outlets-one to power the fan, and the second to provide a 12v supply to charge your battery. This might need a different connector to link with your existing battery charging connector (SAE?) The cable can be passed through the small zipped entry above the evacuation large zip.
I've ordered it but the website states there is a waiting list for them, no idea how long (i've asked them how long via email but no reply as yet), so i haven't received it yet. will update when i get it.
Used one on Facebook Marketplace https://www.facebook.com/marketplac...wse_serp:684009ea-3df6-4dab-9142-34892c56a585
Quick update on my bike bubble purchase : i made the order 5th August but haven't heard/received anything yet. I've emailed them several times asking when can I expect the item and apart from 1 reply from them asking me for my order number (which i replied to), they haven't replied. Just tried phoning them, no answer. Their communication isn't brilliant. They haven't taken payment yet though so that's good, apparently payment is taken once it's shipped. Edit: they must read this forum! An hour after posting this i had an email saying the item is ready to be shipped.
Quick update : Put my bike in the bike bubble a couple of days ago. Setup was easy, uses more space than I expected. It comes with a charger but I was still able to use my Ducati charger as you just simply feed the lead into a small gap and zip it up. As you can see my garage isn't the best, it does leak a bit on the end opposite to where the bike is kept, hopefully this bike bubble will do the job.
I'm a serial offender ...but I like them. As you can see I've had mine for a few years now so they are starting to show signs of wear
Yes it does; provides very gentle continuous flow of air over the bike to disperse any residual moisture.
So you've had yours for a few years with no issues? The fan in them must be good quality i assume to run continuously for months at a time. The blurb with mine says to change the filter every 12 months of useage time so if i use mine 4 months per year i'm supposed to change the filter every 3 years, have you changed yours yet? If so, easy job?
The only real issue I've had in 15 years is the failure of one fan; my only gripe is that obtaining spares now post Covid appears to be hit and miss. As a result I have a "coded" bubble in red that is current out of service waiting for a replacement fan. Changing filters etc is really easy but to be honest I've not found it at all necessary at the intervals they quote.
