  1. Fingers crossed. Any idea why he’s suffering so early on in life?

    • Thanks Thanks x 1

  2. No I don’t, I can only really speculate along the lines of too many tennis balls over the fields and/or bad bloodline (I got him off the gypsies). He’s certainly always had the best nutritional kibble etc I could find.

  3. The deed has been done although it’s likely I won’t see significant improvement. (if it works) until after the second jab next month.
    £125 a pop.

  4. Blimey. One jab a month (which also sums up Anthony Joshua’s lacklustre performance at the weekend)?

  5. Haha thankfully I avoided the aj nonsense.

I’ve since been told there’s no consultancy fee going forwards so “just £97.50/month”

Until it’s double that this time next year of course lol.

  6. Interesting reading here ........ The Pupscan Project It seems the research suggests that inherited/genetic transfer is not as high up the list of possible causes of joint issues as we have previously believed. Just 1/1000 across all breeds.

  8. I remember Amazon man lobbed a box of them over the fence. It was a box of 1,000. And our Bullmastiff discovered them before us. YuMove are seemingly a dogs equivalent to jelly tots. He’d snaffled all bar 6 when we found the box so that was 994 down the hatch… we isolated him until the barf a thon kicked in… we didn’t fancy cleaning it off the the new carpets. The joys :D

  10. Congrats @Jonnybiscuit , look forward to seeing how they grow up in the next few weeks

Mine have started leaving, didnt think would say it but missing them a bit now the packs thinning out. The biggest one is over 7kilos and adding about a kilo a week at the moment hes huge compared to the others. They are all starting to get a different shape and colours now so its a really fun time.

So much so, think we might just have one more accident, specially when you see this face:

This one is 100% the "Beagle" look of his mum when playing, hes a loon

  11. Ha :upyeah: We're keeping one of the girls (Nell) from our litter too. That will make it 5 (bonkers or what !!!). All doing well so far. One of the boys isn't putting on weight as much as I'd like. Not concerned, just need to help him more for a bit. With Fly having the litter, it's brought her Mum (Beth) into season earlier than she was due. That means we'll be doing it all again before Christmas o_O It'll then be at least 2 years until our next litter. Enjoy the last few days of mayhem with yours. The house will feel very quiet when they've gone.

  12. Ive been looking after our neighbours spaniel for the first time today, theyve gone on hoiday and i said id look after him until his grandad arrived to house sit later this evening. Thought it would be a doddle adding him along to my three.

    "Whats one more?" etc....

Worst decision ive made in a long time, stressed the shit out of me (and my dogs). Wouldnt say he's badly behaved but absolutely zero interest in relaxing/not bouncing off the walls 24/7.

Pics after ive been to the pub for a pint to calm my nerves.

  14. Sounds like a not fun afternoon of it there @Red899

I learned about dog sitting with our neighbours, a little sausage dog but he just plays ball for what seems like 17 hours non stop. Now I offer to pop round and let him out for a few mins at time if needs looking after. For such a little dog he raises the tempo about 10 fold, and as a beagle owner thats quite an achievement.

And spot on with prediction @Jonnybiscuit - as each pup goes the house gets soo quiet. One left who goes this weekend, wouldnt be too upset if they forgot :)

  15. This is Simon (the little boy that was not gaining weight as much as I would like). Been giving him extra attention and top-up feeds (formula milk) and he's now rapidly catching up with the others. Phew !!

  17. You own 3 spaniels. How on earth did you delude yourself that if you added another one to the mix, your afternoon would be anything but chaos?
