  4. Interesting - they look good. I have wondered for a long while why manufacturers don't have this sort of thing as an option, so they have the advantage of being tested & proven...:thinkingface:
     
  5. Yeah, they do crash bars, but none of them seem to offer crash bungs. Seems odd that they don’t.

  8. Popped in to see @finm at his garage today where he very kindly swapped over the pulley wheels on two alternators. Cheers bud! See you in Largs !

  10. no worries. i forgot to ask, the other alternator isnt getting used is it? cos the shims will need removed if you are planning to use it.

  11. Been shopping, done washing and ironing, started packing for a long weekend in Bannau Brycheiniog, lubed the chain on the Multistrada. :)

  13. Been to guitar shop with the lad after testing a few he wants a Standberg…… The music man StVincent was a very close second but could get to grips with it’s shape.

    The old alternator will be going off for reconditioning and kept as a spare. I have mounted the new one already.

    where are the shims?

    I have not yet been to Nardini’s. Unbelievable, I know!
     
  16. i put them between the pully and securing nut.

    aww mate, possibly the hottest spring and early summer on record and you huvny been to Nardini's? i'm guessing that yacht (b.o.a.t) is bleeding you dry of time and cash :p
