  1. Tried a pair today and if you have large ear canals, don't bother. I had to get them removed by a nurse because they went in too far for my sausage fingers to pull them out. Andy

  2. The joys of one size fits all  as with everything you have to try to know if they fit but I suspect for the majority it wouldn't be too much of an issue (I'm guessing my ear canals are of a fairly standard size) ;)

  3. this is post of the day for me Andy, and proceeding with caution as you understandably may not see the funny side of this but glad you got one or both out safely. :upyeah:

  5. What a great thread. At the moment I use the yellow/red disposal ones but I will be trying some of the suggestions.
I do have a problem keeping them in on my right ear for some reason.
I have tinnitus which may have been brought on from my years of riding without earplugs. It didn't help that in the 70's we didn't have to wear a helmet on a bike in Ireland.

  6. I used Ultimate ear custom plugs for years but now use the Howard Leight red and yellow foam plugs, i find them just as comfortable as custom plugs, you can buy a shed load for what custom plugs cost, depends on the use to be honest.

  7. I've used pinlock plugs for 5 or 6 years now and find them comfortable and flexible enough to insert in the ear. They come as two different sized pairs.

They only require either a wipe with a tissue when they pick up err... stuff and a full blown service clean every 10k or so.

  8. Someone used to sell a mixed trial pack of disposables. Up until that point I used the EAR yellow foam jobbies, which I only ever see as freebies at sites. It is I’m sure how I found the rhubarb and custard laser lites. The mixed sample is a great idea, as this thread shows there is a wide variety of opinions on what works best.

  9. Pardon……..
