Ducati Glasgow poor servise

Discussion in 'Dealer & Workshop reviews' started by ducjay, Aug 7, 2013.

  1. It's a private sale and has nothing to do with the dealer. Until the OP accepts that he's been mugged off and deals with the seller he's going to get nowhere!

  2. Bet this thread gets pulled soon.

  3. I hope not. Ducjay makes me piss myself laughing. He's pure genius at comedy. It's a pity DG are butt of his idiotic rant though.

  4. Didn't see this before but well put Martin.....

  5. It is stories like this that makes me glad that I do not have to interact with the great British public in my work. My sympathies are entirely with DG.

  6. Opps, what's a poor servise??? tried looking it up in the dictionary, but couldn't find it.

  7. Just to hold up the sellers side (who also hasn't had chance to defend himself), I went to see this bike and it's in beautiful nick and the guy was a genuine bloke, nothing to hide. I'd have been like a dog with two cocks if I'd taken the bike home. A bit of sludge in the tank,I don't think I be declaring my lack of faith in all of humanity and threatening to sell up my collection....

As has been said, think this one's run its course..

  8. It starts out looking bad for Ducati Glasgow, but they end up looking good and reasonable, the OP ends up looking like a spoilt kid so no real harm done to reputations is there?

  9. unfortunate that the OP feels hard done by but i too cant see that any blame undeniably lays with DG.

different story but I have had a few bad experiences with dealers over the years and generally dont trust them however good the rapore and promises when buying !

  10. I'm sure all the dealers and private traders out there are of the highest integrity!

  11. Ducati Glasgow helped me out of the shit and were very helpful working out of hours to sort my bike, Great people:upyeah:

  12. There is no way you can align Ducati Glasgow and poor service.

    None. They are fantastic.

  13. According to my 2005 749 service book (I can't see it being that different to the 999 of that age), the fuel tank should be cleaned every 10000km (6213 miles), with no referance to it being "checked" before that. According to Ducati Glasgow's servicing record this 999 hasn't covered 10000km. If the owner chooses not to service the bike because it's not in use, it's not DG's fault and if the owner chooses not to store the bike correctly (evident with the two new batteries) it's not DG's fault.

  17. What, they need servicing too!!! feck, better get done. Had ours 4 years and child no.2 is in it now. Wouldn't want it collapsing now would I.

  18. Make sure the baby isn't in the pram when they service it. Dealers don't check that kind of thing
