Picked van up from MOT fail, got the tyre replaced returned to MOT station has now passed. Drove to Swindon for night shift been given the wrong postcode by Amazon of all people ended up in a residential area and not anywhere near Amazon. Drove home, sent email to client, awaiting their reply which should be interesting after I’d warned them previously of bad information being passed to me.
Off on the boat for a few days to avoid the festival carnage that’s going on near where we live. Just moored up at a lovely quiet spot in the middle of nowhere.
Walked up Helvellyn from Glenridding.. 11.2 miles and 1049 m of climbing, went up past Lanty’s tarn ( beautiful) Grisedale tarn and Dollywagon Pike .. Lanty’s tarn Perfect location for a bench looking back towards Ullswater Interesting mountain hut on the way to Dollywagon pike Bit of a tragic tale to tell on the plaque attached Ullswater waaay in the background.. Striding edge ! Swirrel edge.. Great views on top of Helvellyn and wig glue just about hangs in there Fab day out, world class views and once again my mate and I hit the weather dead lucky All rounded off with a nice pint of Stella in the Travellers Rest back at Glenridding,…Livin the dream or what
I did chicken fajitas back at the camp and a delicious fruit scone,..made me fart lots ! Was a bit like that scene from “Blazing saddles “ !!
@Ducbird I thought it was self explanatory that i was out walking and cyling when i spotted the above two items.
Went to Carfest. Was a good day out, not worth the £95 per person entrance fee though. And judging by the number of people there, all spending obscene amounts of money feeding their families shit food, the “cost of living crisis” is clearly utter bollocks.
Moved up river and moored in another quiet spot, to be honest it’s all very quiet on the river for a bank holiday weekend. slowly heading back tomorrow morning if I can keep off the Rum
