A bad back and sagging beer belly plus advancing years mean that I'm selling what is my all time dream bike after owning it for just 2 years. It's a bi-posto with an aftermarket mono seat fitted. The dual seat comes with the sale but I don't have the pillion pegs or hangers. Carbon fibre air intakes with BMC filters but standard air box. The buyer can also have the rear paddock stand. I have replaced the fuel lines and replaced the quick release tank connectors with the better metal type. It did have a non working immobiliser fitted but I had this removed by a professional bike electrician who made a tidy job. Belts were done about 2 years and 300 miles ago and have not been allowed to rest in one position since despite not being able to ride it. Some numpty in the past drilled the side fairings to fit crash bungs and I have covered the resulting holes with a couple of Ducati decals. Its currently sorned and out of mot but I will put 12 months on it if it sells. I haven't done many miles on it but it pulls like a train from low down and revs out cleanly. The brakes are good and it handles a treat. It's not mint but it's a nice tidy user with just over 17000 miles on it. Located North Shropshire, come have a look, no test rides unless cash transfer up front returnable immediately if no sale. £9450 ono.
Here's a bit more info about my lovely 998. The ecu was flashed when the carbon cans were fitted so it starts and runs spot on, in fact much better fueling than my 2016 DVT Mutley. It's had 2 desmo services in its pampered life. Ducati John did the second desmo service at about 14500 miles, he found all clearances in tolerance except one exhaust valve clearance slightly wide which he put right. It was originally sold by JHP and later ended up at Woods of Abergele who sold to somebody in Droitwich who part exed a 748 for it. It's also resided way up North for part of its life too. I have the original pdi paper from JHP and the bill of sale from Woods for £6999. I also have receipts for maintenance and the mot certificates from 2006 to the present day.
Well that went well. But on the plus side I get to keep an iconic piece of motorbike art for a bit longer.
Not advertised the Multistrada yet, I was waiting to see if the 998 sold. I've got a BMW Z3M to sell as well but it's really not a good time to be selling what are big boys toys.
That's a different budget and long since blown! I'm not using the bikes or the car so I'm trying to tidy up before the grim reaper comes calling.
Thanks Ricardo. You can get the full set off ebay.uk Link. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/19341645...bonmlheQZa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Hi, yes I've still got the 998, the Multistrada and the Z3M. I had a bad back for much of last year so none of them got much use, if any at all. I run them all up to temp every 3 or 4 weeks just to keep them turning. The 998 and the Z3M both went as far as the mot garage and back and that was about it.
