I spotted the owner a mile off in the showroom but he didn't speak so his loss.

  7. Good deed for the day done. Took my daughters cat to the vets for a check-up to see (about 50m down the road) a young lad on a gsxr600 on the side of the road....walked up and asked if he was ok (and he was straight on me) "it just stopped mate....when i turn the key the dash lights up, push the starter and nothing...." explained that i only lived 5 mins away so once the cat was checked went home got some tools, jump pack and a spare old battery (which, luck of the fucking gods, was the same size - my old z1000 one) - went back down to him on the zed...i think he had a look of relief thinking id just fuck off, saddle off and jump pack on got it started, battery terminals were loose, alternator was charging but when we killed the engine the battery voltage started to drop....started on the button second time so got him to put his lid on and get home....not a great ad for Fowlers but he bought it last week and only used it once since so they didnt check the battery methinks...

He was so grateful and said "i only passed my test last month....id always read that bikers always look out for each other and it really is true!" sent him on his way, home for tea and biscuits.

  10. Just a checkup....all ok it's a MainCoon...thick as fuck...no idea what's going on or the time of day! Totally dead behind the eyes...took 9 months to work out how to use the cat flap.

  13. For him it’s an itch which will need to be scratched. But first a Strandberg purchase on Saturday.:)

  14. Headless guitars look funky.
    Lucky lad.

  15. He is in a way as he’s got a good work ethic and understands the relationship between work and buying nice things. He has worked doing odd jobs in the neighbourhood on people’s houses and along with his part time job has accumulated the funds to buy it. He had the chance to buy a cheaper demo Strandberg but hesitated for too long.

  17. Well, luckily, a. Its a femail (theyre always smaller) and b. even for a female its quite small as well but still twice the size of the other 2 moggies we have. That being said it eats clearly twice as much as the other two...!

Sounds rich owning a main coon but it was literally a bribe to keep my daughter at home as she was in uni in Bristol (where we live) but wanted to move out (so we'd be footing the cost) which we didnt have...at the time her moggie passed away i said "ill get you any cat you want if you stay at home" so she found and 800 quid kitten!...fucking walked into that one didnt i....!!

Then she still moved out a few years later..! (and were footing the vets bills) which is ironic as shes at uni training to be a vet...

  18. I spent this evening with @finm getting all diesel smelling. Massive thanks to Fin for diagnosing the problem and helping me fix it. You are a star mate!

be good to see you and MrsFinM in Ayrshire over the Autumn/Winter and definitely next summer for a sail. Kentallan and Port Appin would be good places to pick you up!
