  1. Keep her! You know that’s really what you want but the missus has forced you to post this :D

  2. We have two and that's a nice number. Three will lead to four

  3. And your point is? :yum

  4. Yep. And then 4 leads to 5 and then .......... ahhh WTF :p (... Ask me how I know :no_mouth:)

  5. Dogs.jpg

Yes - we had 1 St Bernard - that led to 2 - so we could have a litter - that led to 3 when we kept a pup - that led to 4 when we got the pup a girlfriend... plus the Bulldog.... 4 cats... and Parokeete

    Oh and a wife...

  6. That happened to me, only it was with gerbils. I had a female called Candy and then a girl down the road decided her male gerbil was boring so she gave him to me. He was not at all boring and in fact he turned out to be a bit of a lad, so soon enough I had 39 of the little f*ckers scurrying around my dad’s garage, where they lived in a rabbit hutch from which they frequently staged mass break outs. When the babies were old enough to leave their mum, I used to swap some of them for pet food with the local pet shop owner and this went on for a while until my mum got fed up with the infestation and clamped down on my rodent trafficking operation.

At the time I also had a cat, a dog, two rabbits, two guinea pigs (which I also bred, so I had 9 rabbits and 6 guinea pigs at one point), two land hermit crabs, a tank full of tropical fish and a slow worm, which is a species of legless lizard. I also had this weird knack of finding injured birds, which I would nurse back to health in the said garage and then release back into the wild, or at least my back garden. I didn’t have a wife though, as I was only about 10 at the time.

I should have opened a zoo!

  7. Do you take a bin liner as a poop bag come walkies time?

  8. No - just lots of bags - their normal walk is just 2 at a time...... the family outings are to dog walking fields where they can run.. but at £13 an hour... its not an everyday occurence.

But black bags are needed... around 45KG of food a week means around 45KG of waste too....

  9. A dog walking field? things have changed up since I last lived in a dog household.

  10. yes - there is 3 or 4 close to where I live sprung up over the last 3 or 4 years

I guess its a good income from a piece of land that is not doing much

Need to invest in some fencing and gates - set up a web site for the booking - then daily change the lock codes - empty the bins and fill the water tanks... then weekly chain the field and cut the grass.

So probably 20 hours a week of upkeep - for potentially £1000 a week of income...... realistically £500 a week if you account for the wetter weather with fewer bookings - but the nicer days - you need to reserve a week or so in advance.

Nice income for someone retired..... with a suitable field...

  11. How much do they charge for using such a place?

What’s their USP compared to just walking your dog in a playing field or park?

  12. We had, then 3, then 4 - just had a litter and was almost 5 but just managed to escape it so far. But, there is already the "whens the next litter, we should of kept one" nonsense going on

  13. Our local dog parks are approx £10 for an hour for up to 3 dogs, or £15 for up to 6

Sadly, since the beagle decided she prefers to do one rather than come back in anything less than 6 miles or about 2-3 hours, then its our only choice twice a week to give her a proper run. Its ok taking them out on long lines ETC but not quite the same and we have a decent garden but for her its all about the scent trails which dont get put down at home for her to chase after. She often spends the whole 2 hour slot running round nose down

  14. Iggy can be like that, as once his nose is switched on his ears are switched off, but thankfully he never goes far and doesn’t seem to like being out of sight or earshot of me.

  15. As said above - £10 to £15 an hour based on the number of dogs - minimum 30 minute sessions - which is really 20 to 25 minutes - because you must leave before the next time slot - no overlap... so always book the hour as the half hour is like 75% of the cost of an hour.

USP - its a locked secure area - where your dogs can run - can you imagine letting 4 75KG dogs off in a park - that dont listen... would knock people over and cover them in slobber getting a fuss... or the one (Mother) barking her head off at everyone she meets....

Thats why their normal daily walk is around 3.15 to 4.45 AM where generally no one else is around.

So another selling point for me - is I can stay in bed on occasion ....

  17. Only 3 weeks old (so plenty of time yet), but I've already had a gut full of time wasters for this special little boy. I'm getting close to caving in and letting Mrs Biscuit keep himo_O

  18. Rainbow has a home now, a bit last minute but a lovely retired lady who already has an elderly corgi.
The amount of stuff the Mrs buys for the owners is mad. She'd never be a successful business person .

  20. They are lovely looking pups.

That last picture made me laugh, there is always one in every litter that is the Houdini of the group so guessing thats the one?
