Rugby World Cup 2023

  1. RWC starting tonight. In a few hours, actually. I cannot begin to tell you how exiting this is!! I was in the fast train between Lille and Marseille moments ago and it was full of foreign supporters from the UK, going to Paris, Lyon and Marseille. What a sight, what a feeling!!

Today, France feels like a young lady getting ready for her first night out. Let’s hope she does not get abused…

    Let the show begin!!

    :D

  2. Let's hope they can stand the pressure cooker from the press and the AB's.

  3. There will a couple megatons of pressure on the AB, tonight, in le Stade de France. Les Bleus will be playing 80.000 vs 30… :D

We won’t even blame them should they lose. And they know it. French press/supporters (we don’t say “fans”) are nothing like in England. We actually “support” our teams, in sickness and health.

    ;)

  6. England will win it again. We’ve just been kidding everyone on that we’re shit. Tactics. Genius tactics….

  7. The AB's look the stronger more positive side out of two for me and probably have another gear once game management is completed.

  8. So France came out recalibrated for the second half, the right result for the tournament hosts and fans.

  10. A very deserved win for France. They must be very proud. Was a good game and showed the AB's that they need to step up.
Here in NZ the media has been nothing but praise for the French as well which is always nice to see.

  15. What a namby pamby touch rugby game they’ve turned this into. Disgraceful decision. The people who make the rules are imbeciles.

  16. Nothing in the rules forces a team to win like this… Some teams prefer to « play ».

  17. Maybe some teams are playing football instead.

  18. It is worth remembering what they say; rugby is a thugs game played by gentlemen and soccer is a gentlemens game played by thugs! So, play nice!

in any case, I simply believe in credit where credit is due. The only thing worse than a bad loser is a bad winner.

  19. After my marathon yesterday i was very much looking forward to the England game and boy it didn't disappoint, but we'll need tries against other teams if want to elevate ourselves in this competiton.

A little thought ran though my head afterwards with the movie spartacus thinking that the Argentina's wanted blood .............No i'm George ford

  20. In rugby they are laws not fanny football rules… just saying?
