Does anyone have difficult time closing the fuel tank cap on their bike? I was jumping on the thing today for solid two minutes. Got the keyless version. Maybe I'm missing a trick? Or does it need to go through warranty claim?
That type is known to occasionally have issues or just stop working. Hope you hide an allen key on the bike somewhere when it goes Pete-tong, or the bolt head type it's got.
Make sure that the tongue that clicks into the tank is clean and not sticky, I had trouble on a key version and it wasn't the key lock but the little tongue that sticks out was rough and sticky . A good clean and a little grease and its perfect again now.
I have the keyless cap, and to close it you need to lift the flap to close it, same way you open it, it doesn't close just by pushing it.
Agreed with Vee- regardless electric, manual, or brand bike that little locking tab can use frequent maintenance
