I've played for years, but moved 20 years ago and just played here and there. The local club is only a walk away, so went for a few lessons and liked both the course and the people, so thought I'd jump in. Had a really bad week - 92 in a 70 and lost wallet. Not sure what the third piece of bad luck will be just yet...
A friend of mine did a few weddings for a third party ten odd years ago, can you imagine the bride tobe squeezed in those small rear seats, also she'd the suicide doors and the drivers door opened outwards on the move.
A day off today. Walked down to a Kawasaki dealership who also sold Furygan kit and bought Carole a new pair of RS2 gloves. Wandered back and stopped off for coffee and cake in a boulangerie, bought fresh made, salmon salad wraps for lunch and picked up a couple of chilled Coronas to wash them down. Spent 2 hours in the hotel spa, relaxing and easing the tired muscles Currently waiting on the bar to open (really, not open until 6pm ? ) and final dinner in this hotel before heading back. Got one more night on French soil before getting the ferry to Portsmouth. 10⁰C cooler for the next few days which is a relief but that said, it's been great. Andy
Neither’s mine, but as the Jack Daniels ad said, it’s not what’s under the tree that matters, it’s who’s around it. If they’re a good crowd it’s a good club
Got the tracker and cameras fitted into the new car. Ordered some odds and sods. Sussed out the tech at last and booked for a proper detailing next week. Oh and my lost wallet was retrieved, so ended a good day.
No, it's having a GTechiq 9 year ceramic coat and probably just PPF on front splitter and side rails. I considered a front PPF, but whatever they say, you’ll see the panel mismatch and I don’t want a full coverage. Still can see it on every car that has it, so never been a fan. I’m lucky to have an amazing detailer, so will leave it with him to work his magic.
PPF has come on a long way recently. I’ve had the track pack on mine done (front bumper/ headlights/ bonnet/ front wings/ side sills/ mirrors/ A pillars/ lower rear bumper) and you’d never know it was there, the difference in texture between PPF and non PPF is exactly the same, as they ceramic over the PPF. On a dark car like yours it’s well worth it. Btw, is that Dravit Grey?
Yes, Dravit. Due to insurance mainly, I'll not be adding too much, so happy with the look of the gloss black, meaning I won't be bursting my b@lls on carbon! Appreciate the PPF comments, but I'd rather have the ceramic work its wonders on paint and will accept the road rash.
Finally after a week off because I was too hot I got the bike out and rode up into Wales. Headed to the Brecon Beacons and did the Black Mountain pass, well they’ve only gone and put average speed camera’s on it so that’s that ruined and I won’t bother going there again. It’s getting to the point now where I’m going to start taking my plate off before a ride.
Found this Agriturismo Michelin starred restaurant off the beaten track. Great food wine and service.
The dealer was banned from cleaning the car and it won’t be fettled until next week, so not seen the true colour. I’ll post pics when he’s finished
