..and after a week of good weather.. - hope the Forecasters have got it wrong. Hope to be on this tomorrow.

Newlands Corner meeting time is "officially" 9.30 am.

 

Chris... we might leave a little earlier tomorrow. Just to try and miss the rain later in the afternoon. e.g. shift it forward an hour or so

not sure, will try and find out or possibly someone on the ride might know.

 

I going with a paint job, undecided whether I like it or not.
Saw a White 899 yesterday at our fuel stop, proper looked used absolutely filthy. But then that’s riding Welsh B roads for ya.

 

Good lord rim tape…..

 

Don’t do white bikes for that exact reason but the 899 with red wheels does look smart tbf.

 

I had a good perv today as it’s my fav colour, the bits I could see looked like paint

 

I know that wrap has got better and better and sometimes even close up it's difficult to tell, that's the whole idea but I think you are right and it was paint. I haven't managed to track down the owner

 

If you look through the rear cowl on the inside you can see the base colour is blue paint without the laquer ☺️

 

Yes it's been sprayed. It's a 2018 V4 with 2023 bodywork. I have to say, I think it looks stunning in person. Very different without looking too Garish. It's a special Porsche paint colour if I recall. it certainly stood out amongst the sea of Red and Black Ducatis yesterday

 

Got some pics from yesterday... Was a great meeting --> prematurely wrecked by the Rainstorm. I managed to scoot off early and literally parked the bike indoors in the same 60 secs the heavens opened... Felt really sorry for those riding further and indeed for Rob who broke down on his 1198.... stuck at the side of the road is shit at any time, but in a thunderstorm... that just sucks.

 

I nearly rocked up here for 30 minutes in the van but i'd another pressing engagement at 11am, plus i'd my work clothes on so not looking tidy at all.
Anymore photographs from the venue to whet my appetite for next year.

 

Not from me... but these were the same event... If people want me to take these down... just tell me. Not trying to "claim 'em or 'nuthin...."
