  1. Anyone else use this club?

CSMA Club: Civil Service discounts, Insurance, Breakdown

Just joined up because there was a huge saving to be made on insurance for my son's first car with LV - who also take into account NCD gained on a motorbike which very few insurers do - best quote on normal search engines was £1500 , with LV/Frizzle on here with membership (£18 year) less than 1k so he's well chuffed

These things normally seem a bit of a gimmick but this one turned up trumps :upyeah:

I also see they have a motorbike club with exciting trips to Wales to the slate museum ,,,,, oh hold on

  2. I used to years ago when I really did get insurance discounts but they seemed to end up the same or more as others so didnt bother and just did it the usual way

  3. used it when my father bought a new Vauxhall, the membership can be used by family members....I think when the deal for the car was done the sales man asked was anyone in the family in civil service,as I was fire service he said to join csma, in the end we saved about a further 1.5k.my father still receives the magazines and loves the read. 1st class.
anyhows they have great buying /discount power on certain new vehicles, just make your deal and then mention csma after price agreed lol.

  4. They do a lovely line in driver's gloves and chemi loos...

  5. I used them for years from when they were just Frizzells. couldn't beat the price on car or house. Daughter insured through them as well, cracking price for a 17 year old. They merged with LV and gradually the price crept up. First they lost my house insurance, I had a quote from M&S that striped about £150 off the LV quote and included more than LV and all they offered was another £25 off, then they lost the car, I halved that this year so they lost that as well. they were not interested in keeping my business. Even my daughter has gone elsewhere. I last claimed about 13 years ago when someone drove into the side of my car, no cost to me so I'm not even a high risk and now know loyalty counts for nothing. Oh well. But CSMA offers are good, I've not terminated my membership as there are benefits including cheap airport parking and good deals on cinema tickets.
