Looks to be pretty in the balance as to whether this is going ahead or not. Riders, teams, journos still stuck without Visas. I'd also be extremely interested to know how they think theyre going to get around typical Indian "beaurocracy" in time to get their bikes and kit out to Japan for next Friday. All the best with that my mates lol.
Here’s the schedule, https://www.motogp.com/en/calendar/2023/event/india/de3e0e02-2cd8-4a18-a1db-927fc8a50249. Extended FP and MotoGP practice times. Andy
First 10 minutes of moto 3 practice they had an issue with the comms and it was just the sound of bikes going round the track. No idea why they at least dont give you the option of that every weekend. Same with the footy.
Super-impressive by Bez and no doubt he’d have had yesterday’s race as well if it wasn’t for Luca. Nice of Peco to make things a little bit tighter and a great race for second place. MM’s recovery to a top ten was rather impressive as well. Martin was doing a fine James Brown impression at the end and that move to get back in front of Fabio… Can’t wait for the next round!
When's Pecco gonna learn when someone has more pace than you on the day, you must settle for second best.
What a race! All sorts going on, crashes, overtakes…more overtakes….more crashes. Obvious why the top 3 in the championship are where they are. Top ride by Fabio and Marquez did well too.
If you listen to the experts thats the mark of a real champion (see MM93 fanboys). At least he admitted the same though, albeit blaming it on having to race the hard tyre.
What did everyone think about Alonso's moves on Jake, taking them both out? Hodgson reckons he should have been punished by the Stewards, his moves off the line in both starts, then not conceding to the pass from Jake?
Lack of consistency by the rule enforcers again isn't it and according to M Lav a reluctance by Alonso to admit hes in the wrong (on more than one occasion). I still think if Jake can get another one or two more wins and cement third in the championship he can call the season a success. In another season it would have earned him a full time ride in Moto GP.
He might knuckle down now like last season when he screwed up and win it this year then all is forgiven by the team & fans, but i'm afraid they can smell the blood now. #where's the bloody Jaws emoji when you need it.
Was lucky to be part of the behind the scenes team for this event, will upload pics in a while. Here is a teaser to start with -
Monkeying around like his mentor, he climbed up the camera stand to wave to the crowd across the track
Some good racing over the weekend. Masia was impressive clearing off even with the 1km straight. Not sure what Collin Veijer was up to at the end, he's fast but lacks experience in a fight, a bit more time and he'll get a win I think. Alonso was doing Alonso things again, was nice to watch Roberts and Garcia fight at the end, that turn 8 and 9 is great. Martin seemed fairly distressed after the MotoGP race, glad he was ok and on the other hand Bez was cool as ice
