Karma came to visit me today in the shape of @Keith_P who then proceeded to give me an interactive lesson on setting up and balancing carbs on dad's 400/4 and now it ticks over beautifully. Many thanks sir, many thanks...waiting for payday to order a set of guages myself.
This little smart classic needed a photograph from me today, it looks like than're having a few beers in the pub.
Been cutting back the bushes in the garden… I absolutely detest gardening .. I would rather shove wasps up my arse !!
Few days ago I took the Multistrada into Gtech Performance which is reasonably near where we now live. Service, change the bars, chain n sprocket, new fuel sender and fit a Healtech quickshifter. All jobs I’ve been wanting to do but not got round to it. Caught the ferry from Plymouth to Santander, which I haven’t done before. Pissing rain and fairly rough but our sea legs aren’t bad. French cuisine on a French boat was really good. Far better than the Spanish cuisine on the French boat via Portsmouth. Funny old thing that. This might be interesting for some of you. (I find it interesting). North end of Cambridgeshire, in the car, to Devon; 255miles, 5hrs58mins, 44.1mpg, Average speed 43mph. That was down to the sister in laws an hour and a half from Plymouth From Santander to a small village up a mountain on the Mediterranean, i.e. all the way across Spain; 611 miles, 9hrs 9mins, 40.4mpg, average speed 67mph. 1 coffee stop and 1 refuel on the way. I hasten to add all genuinely at the speed limits. Motorway limit here being 120kph of course. Almost all of it motorway except the last bit. I’ve done it before, dead easy. In fact, much easier than driving to somewhere like Devon or Cornwall. Now enjoying ourselves with both kids, their other halves and our first grandchild.
A quick bimble out on the little red bomb this morning… Teessdales at Thirsk to see if they wanted to give me a Tuono ….nope Then out to Beadlam farm shop just outside of Helmsley for a zero calorie low fat diet bacon and egg sarnie and a coffee Then back home to take my neighbours doggie for a walk.. This incredibly handsome boy is Strider, a white Alsatian and he’s mad as a box of frogs …only 2 years old like so what else can you expect As days go,..not a bad one
Thanks for that, I'll have to remember it next time I'm up there getting my arse kicked by the Hotchkin course.
