Agreed, especially against the yellow. Always thought the gold frame/yellow bodywork didn't quite work but the black looks great. But I'm no purist either.
It’s quite a simple, pragmatic choice imho. A) restore completely back to original, including bronze frame, when finished park bike in living room. B) don’t restore it, don’t give a crap about originality and go ride it like it should be. Now, cookie, you’ve decided on A and I think you’re right in this case, you’ve already got a road going Pani R and a 996 so I don’t think a road going 748SP is going to offer anything extra. You can always keep an eye on the weather and go for a quick blast to scratch the itch (B), but ultimately (A) probably should be your goal. There is a (C) but you don’t wanna go there
Want one in bits? 853 barrels? Cases all blasted, frame painted, wheels painted and good set of forks can’t seem to find any time!
