For Laguna seca, hopefully see it again mid November.. great service at the new no limits transport folk..
I never disconnect the battery. Full tank and battery left connected. I’ve fitted fly leads and connect up to a trickle charger as soon as I set up. 6-8 weeks? It’ll be fine Or do they insist due to shipping regulations?
Max 1/4 tank fuel, not sure how they check, and recommend battery disconnected, not a great drama as they wanted the windshield off so fairing off, nose off to do that anyway
It’s going to spend a few weeks in a sealed shipping container, plenty of time for the battery to go flat, as mine did for Philip Island .
Yep, it’ll definitely suffer a bit of charge decay but will disconnecting it make much difference? Personally, if you’re not running an immobiliser or alarm, I wouldn’t bother. You usually go to the paddock and set up the evening before. It’s at this point I plug in a trickle charger. Neither here or there really but I just think disconnecting batteries and leaving a quarter tank is a bit daft. I leave batteries connected and brim the tank.
Fuel supply anxiety is an issue if you don’t arrive fully tanked. Is there fuel at the track? Will it cost €2.80 per litre like Portimao? Will gate staff be checking for fuel bought externally, like NL told us at Portimao? Will you get done for €10 to borrow an NL fuel can? Will you miss the sighting laps because you need to get fuel? All that to think about before you realise you cannot find the key
If you’re in a hire car (which pretty much everyone is) you’re covered with any fuel issues. There’s always a local petrol station nearby that sells jerry cans if needed. I always stick an ignition key in my toolbox. Sneaky eh? And carry a spare with me.
Fuck knows. Must be. It’s always worked. They’re all ‘smart’ nowadays. I know that US are 110v @ 60hz. Might be slower but I very much doubt it’ll vanish in a flash bang.
