  4. Are they all straight roads where you live?...

  5. Never got the fixation people have with this. Having been a fan of the late great Dave Jeffries and watching his road "upright" riding style, Its certainly no measure of speed or ability. If anyone is wearing a tyre like that on the roads then they have a wide birth from me :)

  6. A fresh tyre like that? I wouldn't be going all motogp on it either...

  7. Blimey......I thought the 5mm I have at the edge of mine was a poor show

  9. Actually, I was a bit harsh with my comment. I too have about 5mm, but when on track it's a different matter. When I traded in my old R6 for the 848, the dealer tried to knock me down in price due to the tyres being ragged on both sides... I told him where to go with that one...

  10. Careful now, those motorcycles are dangerous :upyeah:

  11. Are you sure these aren't Turkey strips mate? A lot fatter than chickens

  19. Tis indeed a brand spankers tyre which has barely been off the forecourt.

I can't get to the edge of a 190 on my 999 on the road. But I don't care. I seem to be going fast enough. It's a lot to do with riding styles in any case.

  20. The state of the roads in UK (Essex anyway) makes me nervous about going gung ho. If there's not a bump or pot hole on line there's the possibility of gravel just round the bend. That's my excuse anyway. Can't be bothered to lap roundabouts to get the edge scrubbed.
