848 bhp

  1. Hi all

Anyone known what sort of power / torque can be archived out of a tuned 848.

    thanks

    rob

  2. Ask Chris at CJS....he'll know better than anyone.

  3. you would be better /cheaper/more reliable putting a 1098 or 1198 engine in there.......

  4. Depends on what state of tune you are able to achieve. ECU upgrade, heads flowed, valves waisted, HC pistons, titanium rods, airbox mods, blueprinted motor, lightened and balanced crank, flywheel lightened and balanced. cams dialled in, new cams, exhaust system change etc etc.

  6. very hard to turbo a v twin 90°

  7. L twin.....

  8. and it depends on whos dyno you measure the output..................................

  9. if the engine is in good condition you do a before and after on the same dyne and at the same time conditions as near as, that way you will see the increase rather than a number pie in the sky......

  10. that sounds like a challenge to me

  11. it would be cool but would nees a complete exhaust rethink to link both cylinders into 1 turbo manifold and create holy hell with the fairing......

much easier imho to go twin turbo ;-)

  12. CJS did mine. DP flash with slipon Akros 131. Post CJS treatment with ingintion set up 139. Same day, all day. Torque also increased by a couple but 5 in mid range and generally same across the whole rev range

  13. Is 150bhp possible?

  14. Whats wrong with 848's? Great bikes!!

  15. Anything is possible

Best option buy a 1098 motor and chuck that in there. Cheaper and more reliable.

  16. Budget suspension for a start........................................

  17. You been frapped by andyb?

  18. Evos are 140bhp as standard I believe, so not to far away for starters

Not the 848 evo corse SE :upyeah:

  19. The 140bhp is just the claim from Ducati and appears to be high. 130 at the wheel seems to be more accurate for a Termi'd bike with ECU and filter.

An extra 20bhp is a lot!
