I'm back on my 3rd Multistrada, a V2S, after a few years away riding other brands and I'm loving the bike. Only snag is the age-old problem of noise from the standard screen. I've fitted a lip spoiler and that has improved things. Does anyone have either Iconic or Aztec screen spacers that they don't need any more and are willing to sell? I just want to see if they could improve things still further without having to spend £40 to find out. Please drop me a pm if you have a set to sell (3 hole version for the standard screen). Many thanks...
Not really answering your request as I haven't got one to sell, but I fitted a Palmer adjustable screen spacer to standard screen, and it was better, less buffeting, then added a MRA touring screen, and it's improved it even more. I think people have differing results but certainly worked for me.
I have had my V2S 3 months and 3000km in. 185cm (6'2") tall and Iconic screen spacers did nothing for me with the standard screen up or down. I am in South Australia so more expensive postage wise than buying a set in the UK to try out. I have used a high seat from new given my height but heading off tomorrow with the original standard seat to try that for a day ride. The seat used and your height are obviously key factors so it may be best to detail those to get accurate feedback. Chasing Unicorns on this issue so far but love every other aspect of the bike.
I have done ten thousand miles on mine in the past year and the only problems I have encountered are the seats (both high and standard) are very uncomfortable. Re-shaping the foam on the high seat has resolved that. I have the high screen and find that the aerodynamics are excellent. The only noise problem I had was the bolt heads on the two master cylinders made an awful whistling noise above 40 mph. I sorted that by bunging the heads up with plasticine!
