Has anyone fitted mini indicators to their 900/750SS IE? I'm after a sleeker look but don't want to ditch the indicators completely. There's that recess in the fairing where the OEM front indicators sit. So, new mini ones could potentially look a bit odd unless anyone has found some that work well, or some kind of workaround? The rear ones should just be a straight swap. Thanks for any pointers!
Don't Don't do it. I suggested trying it to the forum and got battered. Stay with the originals. It makes sense.
That was on an earlier 900ss, and the originals were styled to work with the bike overall, and changing the rears just looks odd somehow. The ones on the SSie are just parts bin square ones used on several Ducatis of the time, so, I think there is more latitude. I think I would leave it standard but some would say it doesn’t matter what you fit it could not make the bike any uglier. The 900SSie I bought that became my track bike came with mirror mounted indicators and blanking pieces at the front, which was a neat solution.
Laughing at the "some would say any uglier" comment. Think that's what I love about Terblanche's SS IE, it's a real Marmite bike. Having slept on it, I am now veering towards keeping them standard. I've got a few updates I want to do: Oberon parts/Ohlins rear shock/Sargent seat/Ducati Performance carbon cans/various carbon parts, including rear hugger/smaller, neater, tail tidy/Ducati Performance uprated ECU/other stuff I've probably forgotten... This is why I was contemplating indicators, but it's probably a bit 'meh'. The bike is 100% original and only has 2,700 genuine miles on it. So, all the changes made will be reversible - should I want to take it back to standard. Started her up yesterday to go for MOT and oil service. Bike sounded like it was dying - then I remembered this is normal
