@Multirider75, How do you find the Roadloc and the fit of the Evotech pillion delete exhaust hanger ? Andy
The Roadlok is a brilliant bit of kit, I use it whenever on a trip, or leaving the bike for more than a few minutes. The Evotech exhaust hanger was easy to fit, and cleans the rear of the bike up nicely.
yup, also deleted the pillion pegs and used evotech replacement hangers etc. if you don't intend to take pillion (can be refitted in 20 mins) makes it look lot cleaner. and even i could fit that. But ditto also evotech tail tidy.......and my dealer fitted that too cos reckon it would be pain to fit especially for mechanical numpty like me
I doubt the V4 is very different to the 1200 and once you get your head around WTF Ducati have done with the design, it’s basic tools and growing a third arm with another hand It’s a time consuming, fiddly job but well within the capabilities of someone who can do an oil and filter change. The first clue is, the 4 threaded inserts the the tail tidy is secured with, are accessed under the pillion seat pad. Andy
Thinking about it I use Panniers on tour, I think the tail tidy may inset the indicators too much behind the panniers.
I have the R&G tail tidy with the standard indicators and they are fine with the panniers fitted. Getting the all cables back in place was the tricky part of the installation, the rest was easy.
If you don't mind, whats the dimension from the edge of the rear pannier slot to the face of the rear indicator please? Looks to me that the tail tide doesn't move the indicator inwards.
I’d be amazed if they didn’t fit with the tail tidy, as Evotech are very thorough when they design products, so will have taken panniers into account. There’s probably pictures in this thread of V4’s with the tail tidy and panniers fitted.
