  2. Bummer

Resetting the trip meter is your ‘old school’ friend.

I still do this… and keep a finger on the clutch lever.

  3. Change the bike? That's a bit drastic. Better change the fuel level sender. :D

  5. Ah tits, that’s annoying. I’m not sure the sender on my V4S Panigale track bike works. I just eyeball the tank and add accordingly between sessions. The thought of running out of petrol on track doesn’t bare thinking about :astonished::astonished::astonished:

  8. Just reset the trip meter at every fill up. I’ve been doing that for years, and never run out. Having bikes without a fuel gauge, there’s no other way to know how many miles you’ve got left on a tank.

  9. haha well…. I ran out of fuel mid race at cadwell a few year back . Maybe I should just give up

  10. Reset your tripometer & you'll have a good idea, if you steady riding. Hooning or racing the usage goes way down.

  11. I’m baffled by my 1098.

No gauge as you know and when the light comes on I get 0.5, 0.7 etc on the dash but I haven’t a scooby what it means!

I just top up to max before every ride.

  12. I fill up the Hypermotard before every ride *and still fret after 75 miles*!

  13. I'm the same, I set the trip and still run out the odd time. I try not to think too much about it or range anxiety sets in. I now understand how drivers of EVs feel all of the time!

  14. Had the same on my first 1200 MTS. Also had an issue on my 748 that would never show the fuel indicator, I got used to it over the years and now rely on my own estimation rather than the light lol.
