V4 Multistrada V4rs

  1. Hopefully it'll be just a paint job and a sprinkle of bling, as I've already ordered one new bike, so could do without getting another. But I'm weak, very weak.

  2. If Ducati are reading any of this - the price will go up another £5k :)

  5. I’ve got a Monster anniversary on order, coming in March/ April. But that may change if they announce a V4R!

  6. Oh what's this then......
That's better, found my specs :D
Deliberately so we can't see much, paint job, different handguards .... no carbon wheels.....?? Surely they won't have pucker unveil next week for paint job so must be more interesting tweaks?

  7. Don’t be silly, you can see from the photos that one side is black but the other side is red!

  8. I can't see any differences at all, other than the colour, so may need new specs! I think the current PP looks much better, and have a feeling that's just a photoshop.

  10. It's a photoshop.

I'm praying they don't launch an MTS V4R next week. I'm planning on paying our mortgage off early next year and I'm worried my plan could be scuppered!

  11. Pay the mortgage off first. A new bike can wait.
I wouldn’t have said that a few years ago.

I suspect there might be some big depreciation on year old PPs if a new one is announced.

  12. Sorry, didn't mean to give you a dislike, but it's true!

    I've undone it.

Damn you Duke and your common sense...

  13. Agreed re the mortgage, getting rid of ours a couple of years ago was the best thing I ever did.

But disagree on the big depreciation bit, as a V4R will be into the early to mid £30k's, making the PP even more attractive on the used market.

  14. If it is can someone explain the Number 1 number board please? Is it a nod to the victories in Pikes peak or World Superbike? Either way I wish they wouldn’t.

  15. I was told by dealer long ago nothing to do with number 1. Its just design slash, you can see doesn't have top and bottom of a 1. But that's probably bollix too

  16. The only buyers likely to buy one will probably have already bought a PP. it’s supply and demand depending purely on how many PP owners trade in.
I reckon the new bike will be a limited 20th Anniversary edition though.
Paying off or paying down a substantial part of your mortgage is a good thing to do, imho. It’s the biggest single expense pretty much everyone will ever have.

  17. Yep, you’re probably right re the demographic. I’m intrigued by what it’ll be called though, as there’s already a Multistrada V4R, the Rally. Maybe it’ll be a Pikes Peak Anniversary. Or SP Anniversary. It’s all very exciting.
