One of the greatest character actors of all time , without doubt . A couple of his movies with performances that I will never forget - "Layer Cake " and the extremely strange ..... "The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover "
Seemingly they gave a teenager in custody The iconic landmark, which was found fallen on its side on Thursday morning (September 28), was among the most photographed trees in the UK and appeared in 1991 film Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves. Now, a 16-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage. The little prick.
Yeah... but strangely unforgetable "What are you doing in there, Georgie? You playin' with yourself? That's not allowed. That's my property, you're not allowed to fiddle with it. Now come on, open the door, I'll show you how to wipe yourself.
Yeah ! but not as memorable for me as his very posh wife ( Helen Mirren ) heading towards the ladies room and him shouting across the entire restaurant ..... " And wash yer fa*king 'ands "
strangest role I recall he played was the Singing Detective, a bbc serialisation "back in the day" (1986). Like all great actors I think he could play virtually any role convincingly.
It most certainly was for me . I saw it on first release in the West End , with my younger sister and her student buddy , who was a dazzling Italian beauty ( but a bit "delicate" , psychologically speaking ) . When we left , she was in a shocking state of distress , which I assumed was caused by the disturbing and graphic nature of the film ..... but I was wrong . After my sister had calmed her down , it turned out that what had upset / unhinged her was my sister and I laughing our heads off at various points ..... ...... and I think she just wanted to get away from us , as quickly and politely as possible .
What a little arsehole. I bet his punishment will be virtually non existent, but hope that somewhere down the line he gets the complete shit beaten out of him.
Francis Lee... another of those footballers I remember from me youth. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66987328
Sad news. I remember watching him play for Man City in the 70’s. As a kid I used to go along with my dad who held a season ticket. Sitting in the main stand, just in front of Clive Lloyd of cricket fame. Fond memories
Though the Plod have also pulled in a 69 year old guy who is getting evicted from his rented house which is close by...
Good job you where sitting in front of him if you were sitting behind you wouldn't have seen a thing. He was a big lad was Clive.
My first thought when I heard it was an old boy who had done it was perhaps he lived close by and was sick to death of cars parking in his, drive, front lawn & blocking him in/out. But perhaps it's more like the house is being sold to an AirBnB'er to make shed loads on the tourists and in the process are turfing him out of the home he may have lived in for years & years. So fugg 'em he thought.
They had some brilliant songs "Who's that Lady" & "Summer breeze" probably the best known, but there's loads of other tracks too.
That’s sad. She was very entertaining. If you can shuffle off this earth without getting cancer or dementia, you’ve done bloody well.
