MCN bike meet up

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by andydmcn, Aug 15, 2013.

  1. Anyone up for a meet-up of Multistradas somewhere near the middle of the country to try and get a few bikes together? Would be really good to be able to chat to some owners about their bikes and for me to meet up with a number of people as part of the ongoing reports I am doing for MCN. Would like to take some pictures and talk to people about what they like/dislike about the Multistrada.

Was thinking somewhere like a Ducati dealer perhaps so there is access to drinks etc and they are always great places to pop into...Coventry or Aylesbury might work best for most people as they are near lots of different areas.

I was thinking of something in September as I am about to head away on holiday for a short while.

Let me know at [email protected] and I will see what we can get sorted.

  2. You're assuming that any Multistrada's will make it to either venue in one piece

  3. You have my permission to slap (Hard) the first one that asks about tax disc positions

  4. That's why I've got a bike trailer and I'm not afraid to use it.

  5. There are Multistrada get-togethers occasionally in any case e.g. at Benson, at Popham. You could always get along to one of those, Andy.

  6. To far south for me, talk funny down there

  7. May be good. Talk" braccio oscillante" or swinging arm in English.

May be doing Romanian ride so the date would have to suit but I could always read about it here..

tax disc? Hummmmmm. No, I'm not brave enough to ask.

  8. Could be up for that with my new bike

  9. Will you be able to talk with authority about your bike by then? Will you have broken down several times and had to have AA Relay out to get you home by then?

  10. ET....Why don't you head off back to the Superbike section if you've nothing useful/interesting to say

I'd be up for this Andy....Aylesbury looks a far better destination to head to than Coventry....for me any way.

  11. Is it cos I is black?

  12. I'm up for Coventry. A better cup of coffee there too. And lots of interesting race bikes to see.

  13. Way too far south of Kendal.

  14. I don't mind either venue, though Aylesbury is nearer. Email sent.

  15. I'm up for it, Coventry would be good but Aylesbury is nearer for me.

  16. Going on emails and threads here it seems there is about a 50/50 split between Aylesbury and Coventry dealers. I am going to phone both and see what we can organise and let people know. This is likely to be in late September as I am about to head off on a family holiday and I have work commitments on a weekend or two after that.
Will advise on a date ASAP.

Thanks for getting back to me.

  17. To far south for us northerners, what about Lincoln, Sheffield area.

  18. I'm originally from Kent and London so as far as I am concerned Coventry is in the North!!!!

  19. Coventry is nearly France to us up ere. Lol
