YouTube are now disabling access to their content if you're running an adblocker on your machine. Anyone have a work around please?
I’m afraid not, I can only guess that they want either you to generate revenue by watching the adverts or that you subscribe. As tiresome as it is I generally try and find something else to do whilst the adverts run on mute.
I let the adverts run as this is the way content creators make some money that they can use to make better content along with YouTube Most don't last that long
Yeah I’ve accepted it now, considered premium and wouldn’t mind paying but it seemed allot compared to say Amazon or something similar so have accepted it, just a bit embarrassing when blaring out a classic song on playlist in the car so volume goes up a few notches then all of a sudden an advert comes on with an almost nursery rhyme song!
I download (using Winx youtube downloader). I use (in Pale Moon and Firefox) NoScript and uMatrix/uBlock Origin, just enough script enabled to be able to search the site but not autoplay, then copy the url into Winx and download. Then watch on computer or phone in highest res - and no adverts. And keep, if worth keeping. In response to Ducbird's point: I only really watch stuff by, say, businesses that don't do it for royalties, or private individuals with major sponsors. The rest, in my experience, is dreck (or ripped off BBC/PBS-type documentaries). It also downloads from Daily Motion, Vimeo, etc.
I get the pop up warning that as I have an ad blocker playback will be stopped blah blah. I click on the X in the top right corner and watch the vid. No problem.
Oh... Well that means they will lose me as a viewer for sure. Twitter also announced that they are going to start charging people to reply to posts in NZ today. If that comes to the UK, I will be leaving that site too.
Being logged into yr Google account seems to make a difference as well. I suspect the adblockers will be updated to stop this, and the battle between good and evil continues...
If I tell you how to bipass this, usually some mi5_scumbag then passes on the information. Meaning the method stop working within 168hours or so, but you shouldn't be logged into y/t anymore. That's the best tip I can help you with. This means you need to create bookmarks for your favourite channnels & what have you before logging out. Oh and bookmark the video tab of the channel not the front-page to stop the silly intro-shite-music playing & causing you a nightmare experience. When you open 10-20 tabs & have seven types of little snippets overplaying each other in a syphony or cacophony of ejectulation!
I cancelled my Spotify subscription and now subscribe to YouTube music which includes normal YouTube. It’s just as good as Spotify and now enjoy YouTube advert free
So, you shouldn't be watching y/t live. Download the videos & there isn't any adverts injected into the video because they are done so when you. The person they're targetting with specific age related/fiscal acumen status adverts are connected.
Reading my own post comes across as complete garbage. I think I got the main thing across, adverts are injected into the stream live. So download the video & you won't suffer them.
