916 Baron’s 916sps At Luigi Moto

  1. How about "Brasso" ? ...... every home has some , usually at the back of that cupboard ( under the sink )
    ..... sorry , I couldn't resist that ...... :)

But seriously folks , a teaspoon of bicarb with a few drops of water makes a great cleaning product .
It has some chemical cleaning properties as well as being a mild abrasive .

A word to the wise ...
If you have gold or silver coins that are worth more than their bullion value ,
NEVER clean them , with anything .
You will only make them less valuable .

  7. The whole thing was probably strictly profit driven… Which would explain why he never told us in his videos how much he paid for it in the first place… ;)

  8. They may offer it as a raffle prize though?

  9. I just watched/listened to the whole video. Jesus! He never stops talking does he?

Next time I ride my 916SP, I will definitely indulge myself with a « Stop looking at my d*ck!» moment… :D

  10. "It was in a barn for seventeen years. And I've just reconditioned it"

Somewhat overstated imo based on the vids and who worked on it! LOL

  11. I find it hard to believe it had sat in a barn for seventeen years, covered in blankets etc, and still be as clean and corrosion-free as it was claimed...

  13. There is the first episode where he views the bike for first time, the clip in this thread isn’t the first episode, that is in another post on here.

  14. I’ve watched the first episode where he viewed the bike in a barn. I’m just surprised it had been there for seventeen years.

  15. For me he's got off his backside and posted a video for Ducati riders, so what's not to like about that format.
What i find's ridiculous is the Ben Nevis service charges and the £500 for just the nosecone paintworks, it seems to me that all Ducati owners are treated as cash cows.

  17. What’s wrong with LM?

  18. Nothing wrong with LM at all!

The Baron implied he had just single handedly restored a basketcase bike himself. The vids show a good condition bike, that needed a minor once over and service after standing unused. The only thing he did was swipe his card and point a camera.

    PS
The paint and wheels guys saw him coming too!

  19. Thanks for explaining. I reread your post and now it makes sense. I’m possibly going to ask LM for an 853 job.
