Found that rats had tunnelled into the workshop this morning, little bastards so I’ve been blocking off holes, destroying nests and lifting slabs and filling their runs in with rubble. Also put some bait down as much as I hate it I hate chewed stuff more. Joys of countryside living.
Last cut of the grass for the Mrs this weekend if the lawns dries up enough, if sunny I’ll go riding some form of wheeled object.
The Holocaust Memorial and Museum, Checkpoint Charlie, Topographie des Terrors and Berlin cathedral. Surprised I had an appetite this evening after the Holocaust Museum; apparently they won’t let under 14’s in due to the graphic nature of the content.
I found the tour of Sachsenhausen concentration camp which is a short distance from Berlin especially disturbing , the expression of schadenfreude really hits home.
Had a really good view of Starlink going over last night. Looked impressive as they shot across the sky. Apparently there's over 5000 Starlink satellites up there now, you only see them in a line when they’re first launched into low orbit then they climb to 342 miles high, they spread out and you can’t see them any more. Clever stuff. Apparently they last about five years and can be effected by weather. Over 200 of them have fallen out of orbit and burned up on re-entry.
I’ve gone full on ‘tart’ and in addition to the private reg plate I bought for my bike back in May I’ve now bought one for the car. I feel dirty.
Took the neighbours mad white Alsatian for a walk again, after cleaning him up I was told to leave him in the kitchen and exit by the front door… I don’t think he wanted me to leave, as he peered through the cat flap
Recently been reading about ‘separation anxiety’ in domestic dogs, which this seems to illustrate. Andy
He’s fine with it, just that he would walk all day with me given the chance, the rascal has a life like a Lord, wish all dogs were looked after like him
