Didn’t mind Stoner tbh, he was his own man, didn’t pander to the media just did what the heck he thought was right and pleased himself, bowed out at the top of his game when he was ready.
I think what I liked most about him was that he let his riding do the talking and boy could he ride, the only guy to get to grips with the early vicious Desmocedici

And who can forget his classic one-liner after he was less than impressed with Rossi’s riding:-

“ I think your ambition outweighed your ability there”

Takes balls to utter a statement like that to Rossi !
