One last kick in the nads for the people's champion (shame that sprint race was red flagged too, went to shit after the restart)
Yellow Ducati second over the line but first following application of rules. Is this final conclusive proof of the “red is faster” debate?
Can we assume a numbered yellow “special” is on the way to celebrate the occasion? I have to say it does look lovely in yellow (although not sure I’m a fan of white boots and gloves).
Has anyone seen Topraks infringement on the last lap of the season yet? (I haven’t but I wondered if it was available) I have to say it leaves a bit of a shitty taste in the mouth (binder in moto gp too). Surely they could have some kind finer refinement of the rules on the last lap, especially as there was nothing clear/obvious in either scenario.
Yes. Toprak fell off the outside kerb of Jorge Lorenzo corner and onto the green paint. Commentator said that last corner, is the only corner on the circuit with sensors. Just got on the throttle a fraction too early and went wide. JT’s opening comment to Toprak was “rules is rules”. Toprak was gutted but fatalistic about it. Andy
It was clear on the Eurosport coverage - he went about a foot into the green on the exit of the last corner...
I didnt watch the aftermath only watched the races on catch up as id done about 6 hours of moto gp by then. Sensational Sunday tbf.
He span up the rear while on the paint exiting the corner and dropped his rear wheel on the paint. It was a cut and dry penalty, as the rules stand
Ha that’s fairly clear and obvious, shame. Fabulous season though after the early Bautista whitewash.
Just watched race one. Who’s getting a set of gold ducati branded leathers then, and more importantly a tub of lube to make them fit?
